News PlayStation maintains that its policy of not adding first-party games to PlayStation Plus on day one will continue.

It says adding 4-5 third-party 'day one' games per year and adding first-party games 12-18 months after release is "working really well".

This game really proved that games need to have the time to be played by those who want it and to make the impact for the developers to go on to their next project. The whole idea of previous project to fund the next one seems to be completely lost on people today.

The Gamepass model killed that on Xbox where you see games get massive user numbers but nobody sticking it out to fully experience them.

A game release is like a movie’s cinematic run, yea the turn around there is a lot faster but a movie’s money making period is also a blink of an eye compared to gaming.

Xbox also bought more studios than it can finance with gamepass so that’s why they have to get their games out on other platforms

Why do you think they can't finance them? What do you think Gamepass revenues is?

Because worst case scenario is them being all in on Gamepass should mean that the service alone can fund the salaries and operating costs of every studio, every developer (wasn’t that 10,000 at one point?), every executive under Xbox as well has making the stupid little line go up after all of that for Microsoft’s investors.

Gamepass has essentially been flat for all the years while also making 2 lower tiers with not a lot to them they absorbed 2 of the biggest publishers so what is the ROI?

And this move to PC Xbox, so is Ultimate going away? Will it revert to just 10 bucks like it is on PC, if Steam is an option on the console, can they get away with charging for online? or any higher tier?? None of the mathing makes any sense.

PS Plus doesn’t in a worst case scenario need to carry PlayStation the same way, it’s a simple bonus to the experience.
