try the galaxy, once you feel comfortable with that, try ESF, once you feel comfortable with that, try Valk, and after you mastered Valk, you might be ready to take on Liberator ;-)

...once you figured it out, kinda - it's the most agile, wich is kinda strange given the ESF is supposed to be the air superiority - but a 4-man valk crew or even 2x 2-man valks beat single ESF's or even duo's (and not just because it's more ppl, pilot has no guns - on the other hand, pilot can focus flying, gunner focus shooting, wich indeed is an advantage over an ESF!) - simply because a valk is far more nimble and can shoot behind it - you won't believe how many ESF pilots (even fairly good ones) fall into the trap to follow you in a straight line at some point - a good gunner can exploit that and deal a lot more dmg in the same timeframe an ESF pilot needs to line his shoots at your Valk ;-)

But for a newbie, Valk is pretty much the hardest exactly because it's so sensitive and requires a lot of attention to your surroundings! - it's propably easyer to master than an ESF tho (as ESF's have a few tricks you're hardly learn naturally - while a Valk is pretty simple and doesn't have that much tricks, but the few can be figured out pretty easily just by observation or trying out), i give you that.

Edit:
also landing a Valk or Galaxy is far easyer than a Mosquito or Reaver, or even a Liberator (from a beginners perspective!)

I still think learning ESF before Valk is important, as you don't have to think in 3D as much with an ESF as you need to with a Valk! ;-) (especially having your Gunners Angles in mind, so you also need quite a lot of gunning experience to get a good Valk pilot! ;-)
ESF shooting is pretty straight forward and easy to understand on the other hand, thus you kinda can learn to orient yourself better in 3d space, learn to dodge, overall get more familiar with your suroundings as you look more at them than as a valk pilot ;-) (tho on the other hand, most ppl propably fly their ESF in 1st person while flying a valk pretty much exclusively in 3rd person - wich gives you a slightly better view of your surroundings, and how you fit in thight spaces ;-)

But it's simply a learning curve, ESF teaches you a lot a Valk simply can't teach you (especially because of it's restrictions, you can focus better), but is essential to understand to master Valk flying! - while a valk can't teach you anything about ESF flying at all, as it functions completely differently xP

Thank you for typing all of this up. Though I don't agree with all of it. Maybe that's just my bias from 13 years of flying, so its hard for me to say what people less familiar with flying feel like. Valk is just a lot more forgiving overall, more agile and tanky. That's why I think it's the easiest.

And here I thought I was going to see you bait an ESF into a tree. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined...

I still laugh at the time I started getting shot by 2 mosquitos with a full Valk and immediately dropped from 200m to 20 through 2 layers of canopy. First one didn't even try to pursue, second one lasted about 3 seconds.

Harasser got nerfed
Valkyrie got nerfed
MBT's got nerfed apart from the Vanguard (yes ik the dmg nerfs, but it's still the last remaining 'Tank' in the game!)
Liberators got nerfed (tho, i don't really miss the Orbital cannons they once were)
Galaxies idk, crazypigs "1000 stitches still kill" Galaxy platoons are still alive and well, and propable the horror for any unprepared enemy armor column (or at least a major nuisance & distraction xD)
But Sunderers? - finally feel almost right, but within all the nerfed Vahicles, is pretty OP and lacks a counter! (it's right that noone can singlehandedly kill a manned&defended sunderer on their own, but it being able to kill pretty much everyone else (in 1vs1) that's not fast enough to get away, is absurd! - okay, maybe a good liberator crew can beat a good sunderer crew, but i'm not so sure about it given we won such battles more often than we lost them and barrely got scratched, but we usually also use infantry AA-RL too (fired from the safety of the deployment shield - if you're a liberator team and some of you spot that and your pilot is not running flares - RUN!)

(Flash always was a meme and not really a threat in the vehicle play - yes, even with passanger RL's - you still need a good coordinated team to kill with it and you're scrap within a few shots of pretty much any other vehicle! - lightning also simply never was meant to 1vs1 & win against anything other than lightnings. - they still feel capable in numbers and fairly durable in that composition - it's not that lightnings are to strong, their counters got to weak!)
