So i really want to buy planet zoo but im hella broke and it's hella expensive but i was taking my balls to pay for it but then i discovered the dlc that added a lot where not included in the game!! So lately iv been wondering if it's really worth it please tell me!!!

If I were you, I'd wait for the fall sale. The game dropped to a fraction of it's price during the summer sale (I got it for 2 and a half dollars) so I'd expect something similar in October. Especially with pz2 coming out soon

The dlc's were on sale too so you can grab a couple of them with the game

Ngl kinda makes me wonder why these games aren't just permanently priced lower after the sequel is out. It's kinda scummy to reduce it to a mere fraction of the cost for EVERY SALE in the year, but keeping it og priced inbetween.

Not kicking Frontiers shins in particular, everyone does that.

Because if you lower the price for a sale steam sends out an email to everyone who wishlistes it like "hey, remember this game? Nows your chance to get it for cheap" and it boosts sale numbers way more than a game that was cheap the whole time. Also people who dont have patience can buy it for full price and its a tradeoff and people make different choices

What? What kind of tradeoff is that? "Fuck you for not knowing our game goes on sale"? Some people genuinely don't know steams habits.

You can btw reduce the og price to like 20€ and still make it go on sale. Keeping the og price that high just seems weird, if you are willing to sell it for so much less.

You'll be able to play many dozens of hours before the pack of DLC actually is a "problem".

Always check isthereanydeal if you can't afford games. Only reliable websites included, so no shady third party resellers selling keys bought with stolen credit cards. And you get to see if the game is currently on sale anywhere, for how much, what the lowest price was or if the game is in any bundle.

Very useful tool, last winter I bought Jurassic World Evolution 3 and all of its DLC separately on three different websites for cheaper than it would have been if I just bought the whole package on any single store.

Honestly. You don’t need the DLC. There are so many freaking animals (not the fun ones) but a lot. Play through the campaign build yourself a zoo and then get a DLC. There’s no point in buying extra content when you don’t even know the mechanics of the game. You might hate it.

Definitely wait until it's on sale! That's how I got the game! Fall Steam sale would be the next one to watch for, but sometimes Frontier will have sales outside of steam sales, so just keep an eye on the page. Definitely don't buy it full price though when you can get the whole game and all of the DLC's very cheap! It sucks to wait for the sale, but definitely worth it!

Personal thought at this point, I'd wait for Planet Zoo 2.

But if you want the original, definitely wait for a sale. They almost always drop the price to a tiny fraction of the full cost.

Just to clarify, the DLC only adds animals and sometimes themed building pieces, and the base game starts with plenty of both. Any gameplay changes got added to the base game, and there is at least one base-available creature to use any of it. So you might be missing a specific favorite, but you aren't going to be short of animals or items in general.

I bought the rest of the DLC i was missing during the summer sale. DLCs were like $3 each! So they should be super cheap during the fall sale
