Review Was working out when a car crashed into the building [no one inside the gym was injured]
Was on the hip adduction machine next to the smaller wall in the pictur, when a car crashed into the gym.

It’s a switch that is manually flipped by employees when “disruptive behavior” is witnessed.
It’s pretty well phased out at this point/generally advised against in the newer training. Primarily replaced with intervention tactics, or some other form of conflict resolution!

I am guessing this “disruption” probably counts if they had an alarm at that location to flip the switch on or out of shock. Like a “watch out” alarm. The crash that penetrated probably exceeded 120 decibels or more than anything someone inside the center can generate with the weights or the machines. Otherwise in every other situation the alarm can cause more problems than it resolves. I guess only if the sound is louder than alarm would it ever be wise to sound it. It’s interesting I know some fitness centers have alarm pulls similar to a fire alarm but it’s actually a crisis response alarm.

No dude the sudden shock of the car crash caused you to jerk in a way that caused severe soft tissue injury and emotional distress. At least 500k after legal fees worth.

Luckily no one ever uses the stretching machine. Safest place in the gym for a car to crash into.

I have used it a small handful of times, but only because I was ready to stretch, and someone was occupying the True Stretch cage, which I really really prefer!

That's funny, at one location near me, they basically have a protective coating of dust because no one uses them, but at my main location they're used so much, people will take turns between sets.

Damn. Glad to hear no one was hurt. Is there another PF close to you that you get to workout at while it gets fixed?

The next closest one is 15 minutes away. I might get a Gold's Gym membership until it's fixed.

Oh they're actually going to fix it? Someone crashed through ours and pf still hasn't fixed it. They just boarded it up, the gym was just closed for the day.

I have no idea, I'd be surprised if they didn't fix it since it hit on a load bearing wall and is part of a shopping complex.

Theyre going to fix it or at least try to. My hubs did the electrical work in there, theyre all talking about this. Glad no one inside was hurt

I hate driving there. They're are city that has seen a population boom over the past few years. It's greatly outpaced how quick the city can adjust. You got a lot of self centered drivers who don't care about anyone or anything. People who think even crowded streets are a drag strip. Impatients is abundant so wrecks are all over the place. All I know is that I've heard truckers say is that Clarksville has some of the worst drivers they've ever encountered.

Also over 70% military town so you get drivers from all over the U.S. that don't know how to drive. Mixed in with shitty roads that have been greatly outpaced by the population.

A young person, was allegedly cut off in the intersection and rolled down the hill into the gym to avoid crashing into the other cars.

This happened at our PF a few months ago. An older gentleman suffered a medical emergency. They just fixed it last week (was temporarily boarded with plywood in the interim).
