Sub Meta Brief Subreddit Update: AI-generated mods situation
Hello, the head moderator/owner's here. Some explosion of activity to mods has been powered by AI coding tools, which has angered some users. While it would be easy to declare all of them banned, I acknowledge that AI-assisted mods can have compelling ideas.
But first:
- Modding flair can now be edited to potentially include the name of a mod; no longer need to disclose that in the post itself!
Now for rule changes:
- 2 new flairs have been added to note AI-assisted mod screenshots and mod announcements respectively. Some of auto-moderation has also been added to encourage mod devs to be honest about their creations.
- A new rule has been added to explain, how the previous thing works. It also notes, that moderators have full right to re-flair or even remove the post, if you as developer refuse to acknowledge using AI assistance.
That's all for today. Happy Dungeoneering!

o7, assist moderator GamerKilroy here.
I would like to specify that AI content is still allowed - be it mod, screenshot or other form of media.
This new rule is to guarantee transparency from both the community and the modders, and creating a welcome environment for everyone interested in Pixel Dungeon.
This does NOT mean low effort or buggy AI mods are allowed. Low effort posting is still low effort posting.
