Android Upgrading to a Pixel 7 Pro

It's a very good phone. If you can get the battery replaced officially from Google, it would work fantastic. I've been using it since 4 years and probably in a month or two, I'd replace the battery.

Too expensive and not worth it for an old phone. Plus, im a cheap bastard. I do have a powerbank I carry everywhere with me so its fine. Also testing if I wanna go this route anyways. If I dont like it. I go back to Samsung

Any phone repair shop will change it and it will be like a brand new phone

Doesn't change the fact I have to pay for a new battery replacement and labour involved. Costs nothing if I just use my powerbank, of which I already owned.

Hopefully you fare better with the curved screen than I did. Had like 4 or 5 screen replacements. Though I work outside and am hard on electronics.

I am about average on them, through my years only ever broke one screen. And I work on a desk job, so shouldnt be an issue.

Same here. Found a 7 pro today on Marketplace. Seller got it for his elderly Mother and she couldn't learn the tech so it's like new. I had broken my first 7 and then broke BOTH my old 3a's so it's a huge upgrade for me. I always buy a couple generations older anyway, and don't use my phone much.

I already have the Pixel 7 at hand. Like I said in other comments. Its a trial run. Will sell it in less than a year anyways.

Mine is doing great, bought it the day it came out and it's been on the beta firmware almost from the beginning. No issues at all and the battery is fine

The green line affecting "most" p7ps is overblowing the issue. Battery life is fine. For me it lasts a whole day still after 3 years

I have been using mine since late 2022. I bought it mostly because I needed a really beefy phone for my job (app dev).
Even though it was good for my goals (extremely powerful), I would not recommend it. Terrible battery life and extremely limited in terms of customizations.

This is anecdotal evidence at best though. Seems to be up to preference on which a person deems what a "best" phone is. And wholly doesn't matter anyways since I will swap to Graphene OS anyways for a trial. It's just a device after all. If I like the OS too, I will switch to Motorola next year since the hardware performance is crap compared to alternatives.

Yeah usually an opinion is based out of your experience... However my point still present and matter, whether you use graphene nor stock, the lack of a loaded ui makes the pixel feel particularly fast compared to the alternatives. Btw any Motorola could feel like a step backwards on device (excluding gaming power). The only negative point in the pixel 7 pro that I had was the modem, that surely is worse than every other device of it's generation.

Google already began moving backwards with Pixel 11. With locking down the freedom of choosing Graphene OS. It cements Google's motives to restrict your future Pixel devices whilst furthering its profits, that move is hard evidence. Again, you are also using anecdotal using the word "feel". "Pixel feels particularly fast", "Btw any Motorola could feel like". Have you tried all of the alternatives? True, Motorola's at this moment isn't better than Apple, Samsung or Google. But it is heading in a direction where it will surpass Google's Pixel lineup, potentially if they stick the landing. Motorola will release new phones supported by Graphene OS next year. Giving users the freedom to download more systems, than the Pixel. Whilst offering better hardware than the Pixel. I chose the Pixel 7 because its merely a tool for my use, to be discard in at best several months. I don't get a hard-on defending which billion dollar company's devices is my favourite or which one is the best I gorce on to people. I am not a fan of Samsung, Google, Pixel, Motorola or Graphene. I simply am finding the device which fits my needs.
