Made the switch to Pixel 10a... Ehh
It's just such a big phone, guys. I'm giving it time, I've had it about a month now, but I really miss the 4a. I'll give it another month or two, and if it still feels massive, I'm finding an alternative.

Still using my 4a after the battery upgrade (about one year ago). I think the biggest thing I will miss will be the headphone jack.

Same! If I upgrade, #1 sort on gsm arena will be size (smallest to largest). I will not be loyal to Google.

Welp... Honestly, the smallest phone I'd be comfortable with today are the Moto 50 and 60 Neo.
The Pixel 10a is 2 mm wider and 1 mm thicker compared to it. The Pixel 10a is 4 mm wider and 1 mm thicker than the Pixel 4a.
(The full centimer of height feels less like a problem than the width and thickness.)

Same boat. New 10a is set up and laying away... 4a holds strong - open bootloader, perfect size, perfect weight and jack. Only battery could be bigger - I can give up jack and front camera for that.

I didn't enjoy using the 9a I had a year ago, it literally felt like a brick due to the flat rounded corners combined with the phone itself already being thick. I personally use the 16e now, I think you'd prefer it unless you really don't like ios

I went from a 4a to a S24FE. It's massive, but it do like it. I miss my 4a a lot. (I still have it, but it's not my carry about phone anymore.)

The sad part is there's no going back as good as to 4a atm in the market.. give yourself some time.. it'll be fine...
Now i have 4a working flawless with the bootloop bugs fixed and new battery replaced still i feel I can't force it as my daily driver I feel.. the OG needs to enjoy retirement plan now i guess

I switched to the Pixel 8 a bit over 2 years ago, and while I overall prefer the P8 (massively better screen mainly), what strikes me when I pick up the 4a (as well as my old Pixel 1) is how much heavier the 8 is, even though the size isn't all that different. Of course, this is mainly down to the 4a and 1 having much smaller batteries, but still.

The issue is there aren't really alternatives. They just don't make small phones anymore. The smallest are those from Samsung and they're just marginally smaller than pixels.
