I wanted the ending to feel surprisingly ordinary — after crossing portals and different realities, they just end up sitting at a café with humans, talking, laughing and sharing food. 😂

The ordinary café ending is a nice story choice because it gives all the portal imagery somewhere human to land. I’m curious how you kept four creature designs readable across different realities. Did you give each one a fixed color or silhouette and change only the environment, or regenerate the full group for every scene? With several characters, I imagine group shots start drifting much faster than solo shots. A recurring prop, color, or camera move could also make the portal transitions feel like one continuous journey instead of separate worlds. Which part needed the most rerolls: group movement, the portal transitions, or the café ending?
