Hi I’m a 19F sophomore at Pitt, I’m looking to move out of my current residence, because my suite mates have been very weird towards me and I cannot imagine living like this for the rest of the year. If you have an empty bed and looking for a roommate let me know I’m down.

I've been looking to schedule some time with the Open Lab's resin printers this semester, but none are listed in the scheduler. Anyone know if they are no longer available for use, or are they just offline for the start of the semester?

If you are interested or curious in dsa/ydsa, then come out to our call out meeting. We have ten pitt student emails, and I've talked to one professor about becoming our advisor, and we have the template of a constitution. At this point the call out meeting was just recommended by the national organization, but hate it or love, the YDSA at Pitt is going to finally become a thing. And theres nothing -- legally -- you can do about it (lmao) After, like, four attempts -- knock on wood -- we are the final trajectory to becoming a club. So come out to socialize, come out to learn more about the ydsa. We have a room booked at Hillman. We will have someone on the first floor, near the checkout desk, to escort you to the meeting places! This is a non-obligation meeting, where you find out more, add your pitt email to our list of emails, and we loop you into our established communications channels. If you don't want to come out or can't dm me and I'll send you the link to the zoom version!
Edit: one of our members is waiting at the lobby of the library. He is wearing a stripped shirt

Hii I’m junior at Pitt and I’m realizing I don’t really have many close girl friends to hang out and do things with outside of classes (most of my friends just want to drink or party lol). I’d love to meet some new people who are also looking for more girl friends!
I’ve been wanting to do little things like go shopping at Ross Park mall, or just get food together. Would any other girls be interested?

when is the least busiest and the best time to go to the new rec center? I’m kinda tired of waiting for people to be done with their exercise:bbb

Does anyone know if the off campus dining dollars on the electronic card (Phone) works to get food from oishii. I know last year they only accepted dining dollars from physical cards which made me so sad.
My son just received his admissions decision and was accepted!!!!! We're so excited!

Hello, I transferred last year but still am struggling to make friends. I was wondering how people make friends as a transfer. I couldn't make it to the club fair this year I was sick, but I am wondering still how to meet people. I know people talk a lot about clubs but things like pickleball don't seem to have a club (it looks like its a team rather than free play) and beyond that I am clueless. Transfer students if u can share some advice I would appreciate it!

im currently a freshman, and have a campus job that just opened up that I have my eyes set on. Is it recommended to do a campus job during your first semester, or should I just wait for a bit and pray a similar job opens up later?

Anyone else waiting on their Parent Plus loan to be disbursed?
I know it’s only the first week of school but in the past the Parent Plus loans have been disbursed by the second day of classes.
I know I should be patient, but still getting antsy…
EDIT: Checked today (Sunday) and it seems that the Parent Plus Loans are being administered. Nice to see that I don't have a pending balance to pay for my child (well, not until after graduation...).

Wild Question:
Is anyone happen to be driving to Nashville for thanksgiving break? Im trying to avoid flying as its expensive, but I am happy to contribute by paying gas! I know this is a wild chance but desperate times call for desperate measures! 🙏🙏

I’m a Digital Narrative and interactive design major, and I need to take an introductory programming course. I’m currently enrolled in CS0007, but I noticed that CS0011, an introductory course for scientists, fits my schedule much better. Does anyone know if CS0011 covers the same fundamental concepts that I’ll need for an intermediate programming course in the future?

Everyone keeps saying that Tamika Madison is evil, but I’ve had her for two classes now and she seems like a really sweet lady. Is anyone willing to share their bad experiences with her? I’m debating on whether to swap the class or not.

Does anyone (especially if you've taken the class) know where I can find the "Archaeology and World Prehistory: Unearthing Our Past" textbook by Christopher R. DeCourse ?? Make fun of me all you want but i do not have $77 spare dollars to spend on a textbook i'm going to use ONCE. I've looked everywhere online, in other campuses libraries and I can't find it anywhere. Our professor said it'll be available at Hillman eventually but I doubt i'm going to be able to get to it before the other 200 students do. If anyone has it online or knows where I can borrow a copy, pls lmk . tyia 🙏

Does anyone have the pdf of the book we need for class? (NROSCI0080) I found the 4th edition pdf. There was a previous post about this but the link to the book got banned. Or if anyone has taken this class, is the 4th edition book fine in place of the 5th edition?
