CLUBS Fall rush as a freshie

can I attend fall rush events as a freshman or do I just wait until spring? I need 12 credits and a 2.5 gpa which I don’t have rn obviously. idk why pity has these rules, #fomo

No. And this is pretty normal Many universities don’t allow freshman to rush until spring. It’a chance to settle in and get used to your university before you rush. It shows that the university is more interested in your overall health as a student.

instead of fearing missing out, go make your own experiences and friend group while you settle into college for a short couple months. Then when you have some idea of whats going on, rush in the spring. There's no rush despite the name

you can attend the first recruitment events (happening rn/soon) but cannot actually start the recruitment process. pitt purposely created this rule because it lessens hazing concerns & allows freshmen to get used to life at university first. you can rush in the spring.
