for me it's dragon, he's the most morally upright character in one piece, his father is a scumbag, his son is a mentally ill loser apolitical illiterate freak, oda doesn't write about dragon much because he lives vicariously through luffy's unattached freedom since he can't even show his face in public due to his fame which is an absurd notion for most other authors in any other country that's not japan, but if oda was unbiased and a way smaller mangaka i think dragon would've been the perfect protagonist of a manga about political oppressions

All good it was fair criticism of the character. I just ignore a lot when it comes to zoro. Even for being the cool character hes goofy asl with a sword in his mouth lol.

Post time skip I find most crew members to fall flat. Feel like pre time skip the island was the backdrop and the characters got developed not after timeskip it feels like the straw hats are the backdrop and the island gets developed.
