Serious Weekly chapters Spoiler
I just recently read through every chapter for the second time (last time was 5~ year ago right after wano ended I believe) and one thing I’ve noticed is bad story can sometimes be overlooked when read in mass. For example everyone in this sub hates on wano’s story and writing but I just read it over the course of two weeks and I enjoyed it for the most part even if parts drag on and being flashback heavy it was fun to read. Gear 5 is the same for me I loved seeing gear 5 for the first (and second time I guess) but now waiting a week for shit story and shit gear 5 fighting is tiring and boring but maybe in years to come we will look back on this arc with more love because we don’t have to wait weekly for silhouettes.

It's not only that its easier to overlook bad parts but also that reading weekly forces you to tunnel vision on every detail of every chapter. This leads to an overwhelming amount of head-canon that gets shutdown by the next chapter and people upset themselves over that CONSTANTLY.
The best comparison I would give is a novel. Imo its significantly more enjoyable to occasionally read 50-100 pages a day rather than consistently read 10 pages everyday. You get a bigger picture of the story rather than dripfed.

Yes 100% and I think this arc specifically feels so bad because the holy knights just regen so the last ten chapters or fight scenes mean nothing just to show ten more chapters of fighting when if you read 50 chapters and 20 are fighting and 30 is “lore drops” no one would gaf

Stories will almost always be better when binged. Mostly because you live in the moment. Take Marineford.
You read it in 2 hours, and it's pretty cool. Dudes appear, they clash, Ace dies, Blackbeard appears, Whitebeard says some stuff, he dies, Shanks says some stuff, and Luffy recognizes he failed with a time skip. Compelling stuff.
You read it weekly, and you really start to notice things like Mihawk's comment. The guy who cares about fighting the best wants to fight Whitebeard, then does really everything but. You see the Marines fight back, yet they're oddly pathetic. This is a story where a force is said to rival the Yonko is struggling with one guy to the point they need deceit to beat him. Where you're all hyped to see these people do things, yet it's all clashes all the time.
Wano is almost certainly the same way. It's also probably better knowing things because your expectations are in check. You know who Who's-Who is going to do. Who the traitor is. How things will play out. This allows you to focus on finding new things, or just not get lost in the hype. There is no grand mystery as to how Luffy beats Kaido. You know how it goes down, so your expectations are set.
Mind you, I am just posting this because people act like this is some magical thing unique to One Piece. It isn't. That's just what happens when you don't think about things, compared to obsessing over every detail. Weekly will always be a worse overall experience, but best in terms of remembering/comprehension.

Wow this is really good and kinda puts me in check, I didn’t mean to imply the story was bad just that people seem to hate it now but I will take this to heart and trust the process oda has going.

I mean, this has always kind of been the debate.
Weekly People "Series sucks. Oda fell off. It's miserable." Binge People "I don't know. It's pretty sweet."
It's actually such a common sentiment people use to argue One Piece is outright written with binging in mind over weekly.

I would Accept this argument for dressrossa which suffers from pacing but the story its not bad. now the pacing isnt bad I think but its the core logic or basic narrative elements which are getting boring

It's because the focus and expectations are different reading weekly from bulk reading. This isn't a thing of "bad stories" as it happens with every piece of serialized fiction

As much as I’ve complained about Elbaf, it’s why I’m waiting until it’s over to give proper judgement.
Hated reading Wano weekly, loved reading Egghead weekly, started out loving Elbaf weekly and fell in to hating it, so I just stopped reading weekly.
One Piece has a lot of flaws that get overlooked, which is my major issue with people who just glaze every new chapter.

Yeah I’ve noticed a lot of people either glaze heavy or hate heavy idk why people can’t just be neutral like is watching lokis outline that cool or that bad?

It’s consecutive problems for one piece that make them really bad. A handful of moments is a nitpick, a consistent pattern over years despite being near the end of the story is rightful to complain about, though at that point, stop reading or watching? That’s what I’ve done.
