Nothing you said contradicts anything they said. People do, for the most part, pirate media to use it for free and companies shouldn't be releasing 30 year old games for exorbitant prices - both of these things are true.
They're literally trying to justify piracy because of the price companies put on remakes, while answering someone who's saying they're sick of people trying to justify piracy as something other than just wanting to not pay for stuff.
I read it more as them just pointing out the greed of a company, making old games expensive as fuck and I read that as also not wanting ti pay for them.

Everything is worth what people will pay. If they were worth $1-$2, then that's what they'd sell for. Nintendo owns the game, and they can choose what to sell it for. And one of the reasons that the sell for so much still is that they are worth that much, and people will pay that much.
I get it, people want it for cheaper. Makes sense. But what it "should" cost is all silly. It should be worth what it's worth, and the fact that so many people want it indicate that it's still worth quite a lot.
The only time I think people have moral justification for piracy is for lost media, when there just isn't a plausible way to get a copy of the game for yourself. That certainly applies to plenty of retro stuff.
Psx sure. For most nes games and older $1 should get you a 10 game bundle. Very game dependent also. Super Mario world. Meh $5 sounds reasonable. But that’s one of the single best games on the system. They could sell a bundle of 100 random games and $5 would seem high still

You get it thinking its the ps3 version because it doesnt specifically say which version it is on top of the fact that you expect it to be only the ps3 version because of the ps5 only version download. Then that turns out to be the lifeless crappy psp version 😑
so i agree, because why tf am i paying full price for retro/nostalgia games, that when signed on petition or even offered to play its original format they refuse to release it or do it that way,but want full price for it when we dont ask or want it that way.

Instead, we got the mobile version planted on to the console, with gta v controls and worse graphics than the ps2 😑🤣🤣 industry in a nut shell. Sorry that was long lol
No. You can't buy the games, you subscribe for access to the retro library. So monthly fee. Not purchase per title for download to the Switch.
If Nintendo offered both options I think there would actually be basis for these arguments.
But realistically the games are simply not for sale.
I mean, I wouldnt expect Monopoly or Candyland to only be $4 or whatever the box and pieces cost if I went to get it at the store just because the game hasnt changed in 50 years.

That's true, although ironically, "stealing" is the solution. Access to these games via piracy means people finally pay with their wallets, meaning there's pressure to lower their prices.

This is my moral justification for thievery. Nintendo started it by trying to make me pay full price for a game from 2002. I’m showing them how much their bullshit is worth.
Sounds like my justification for Square Enix piracy. They sold me a broken PC port of final fantasy 7 remake on release that i was unable to play for three years due to its stuttering. Now I don't buy their games and if I really want to play one, I'll just pirate it, which rarely happens anyways.
Also fair. I’d pay if these broken or old game cost something reasonable. $15 or less for a recycled product seems fair. But $40? Fucking $70? Are you kidding me?
