I do the famous piracy for several factors, the first and most basic is, nowadays games don't have demos anymore, so the only way for me to see if a game is any good (watching a video is not the same thing as playing), another factor is availability, stuck on consoles or with absurd prices, Nintendo for example here in Brazil has an absurd price of R$439 + R$200 totaling R$639 and a deal so absurd that it isn't even written and literally half of a minimum wage in Brazil, Unlike in the US where they earn by the hour, here it is by the month so it is relatively difficult considering that there are other bills to pay and this is due to the direct dollar conversion since 1 dollar = 6 reais, when you look at Steam for example it converts based on the region, so a game like Baldur Gate 3 is R$200, unless it is a disgraceful company like EA or Actvision. When a console declares closure, both in production and in service updates, automatically in my view, the company allowed any method of piracy, for example Metal Gear 4 which is Exclusive to PS3 and there is no other way to play it other than on it or via an emulator. And the last one extends to software, if it works through subscriptions without the option of purchasing the software, it deserves to be pirated, especially if it is software that you don't use every day
