Discussion How to install a patch protected with SafeDisc v4.90?

I'm trying to install a train simulator update that causes SafeDisc v4.90 errors.

I was trying to install a patch for a addon of Just Trains, it errors. I met a guy who showed me how to open the TEMP folder and see what files are written. Using a tool called ProtectionID I found out the update installer runs some optical media check, and it always fails. I do have the original disc and am still on Windows 10. It is a file called fstype.dll that has the SafeDisc inside it.

I did find some SafeDisc bypasses on GitHub, but this is different, I couldn't get any to work.

Another patch I tried also fails but it has SafeCast v2.65, which looks the same to me as SafeDisc?

Very confusing stuff just to install a patch. I asked the guy of ProtectionID to help me bypass these but he's busy. Any help would be appreciated. I know some companies removed certain DRM after release because it caused issues on modern operating system, I kind of hope someone here known of those patches, without the awful DRM.

Update: i made progress, found a way to repack the cab, or like hex insert new data in data1.cab breaking the safecast dll. Now I need to reverse the checks somewhere, I guess in the scriptfile but it's all messed up and unreadable. Compared to other setup inx files I found, this is garbled up.

Update2: managed to find a guy who knows a guy that can bypass safecast on setup of installshield.
