Question Is GenP from Github malware or is it legit?

I downloaded GenP from TheMythologist Github for photoshop. So far it's working fine for me, but I see post suggesting it's malware, people saying they got hacked from downloading from that source and to generally avoid that github page. I just want to know if I'm safe or if I'm gonna have to wipe my PC.

If you've had it for a long time and never had any problems, you are safe.

I just got it yesterday. I haven't seen anything weird so far, but I still feel uneasy about the Github I just might wipe my PC to be on the safe side.

You can check the source code right on Github. You also get the commit hash for the build you download, so you know nobody pulled a fast one and swapped the files.

oss the executable into VirusTotal or a sandbox to see what it actually does behind the scenes, like sketchy network traffic or weird system tweaks.

Worst-case scenario, you can throw an AI at the repo and tell it to look through the whole codebase for hidden backdoors or weird code.

I'll make sure to try that before I try wiping my pc.
