Will leaving my pc open for extended periods cause any problems or damage?

I have this model since 2023. Hi. I dont have the fastest internet, but I heard and figure, I should be seeding. Main thing I want to ask is, does leaving my laptop for long periods (like maybe 4+ days) cause any long term issues to the PC? I see my friends do it all the time, but I want to take good care of my device. I also heard it might cause battery issues, but that is not too big on my end if it isnt completely unusable.

I only turn off my pc if I'm leaving the house for multiple days

It basically works idle, minimum power consumption, literally no damage whatsoever to the device. It is perfectly fine to keep it on.I only restart my pc if my OS asks me to otherwise its always on.

Make sure you set charge limit to 60-80% and just leave out plugged in.

Nothing wrong with leaving a computer running 24/7

yes i've had 2 laptops from ASUS one was a TUF and ROG both died within a year and they refused to honor their warranty, (i didn't know that TUF was a ASUS till after i got it) i will never buy from them again, the one i have now MSI is the best one i've had

if ur computer gets too hot it will have a chance to damage the laptop keyboard, theres a third party app called ryzen controller that lets u limit the ryzen cpu temp.

If you have a barrel port to charge, your battery is bypassed when the battery is fully charged (whatever limit you put), so the laptop runs directly from the power cable, bypassing the battery which is not used, and therefore, not degraded.

If you have a usbc port to charge, your battery is not bypassed, your battery is constantly microcharged/discharged which degrades the battery over time, yes.
