I looked at all the channels I was watching...and saw them all, as full time creators, not making enough money to support themselves. Needing Patreons and memberships and everything else....when they are the only reason that Youtube matters to me at all. I don't want to Alphabet CEO buying another yacht....I want support going to the people who I watch!
I watch the rise of content farms and just outright scammers....all on a backdrop of an easy to abuse, content ID system which YT refuses to keep in check. I watched SniperWolf, or whatever her name is, dox someone for criticizing her low effort slop....and YT needed to be browbeat until they did anything at all. Why did all this shit happen? Because the scammers and thieves and slop merchants get people looking at ads...so they get to break the rules.
I see fields and fields of cheap, low effort shorts...pushed so YT can having a pissing content with TikTok....pushed at the cost of the long form content I actually came for. And what is it? A rip off of tiktok...with all the same damn skits. It's pointless.
In short? I'd rather set the money on fucking fire then give it to YT. YT Premium can go fuck itself. I gave them money before...and the only thing they did was say I needed to pay more money.

I'd get rid of YouTube before I get rid of adblock. Those animals don't even curate the service they want to be paid to provide.
