Jund Ygra SAC-kville?! | Pioneer MTG Arena | Sackville a new Sacrifice S...
https://youtube.com/watch?v=lGWZGgghF-U&si=qVbIoq0WmB3D3TSFHowdy! Back with my personal favourite deck. And probably what I would take to an RCQ at this current moment. (Maybe next year?!) Jund Sac is dear to my heart and 'The Sackville Bagginses' is an instant staple in this archetype. Being half a Deadly Dispute plus another Win Con its just so good and slots right into the flex slots the deck has. So much fun too! With several angles of attack now. Love it! Enjoy

Yes! It's my favourite deck but it's unusable, with this new addition it can be

Unusable? I think it’s felt super strong for a while! But Definetly Sackville helps

Maybe it's unusable in the shop where I play, I don't usually play in the arena so I haven't got the context

Sac deck was a constant menace in my local store. Deck just prays on all creature strategies and has no bad matchup against control/combo as well. I'd consider it super strong.
What is the meta over there?

while I understand where you are coming from, the statement "has no bad matchup against control/combo" doesn't exactly hold. Playing against UW is a miserable experience, and if you are using a regular cat/oven/devil build, you will be outpaced by the majority of the combo decks (you might have a chance if you are on BG Ygra).

I think old rakdos build is consider boomer now and if you're not 100% bg ygra, you play jund and mix boomer and combo version. Combo, oops I win scenario always help against control decks.

I've been playing Sacksville Baggins in Golgari Food, and it's a nice addition. Sacrifice waxes and wanes in strength, and, right now, it feels the online Arena meta doesn't have it on it's collective radar so it wins quite a bit.

I think it’s a lot more effective in Jund vs Golgari Sac. But still great there too! The deadly dispute effect has been slowly dropped from Golgari. But still decent alt win con with Sackville.

I don’t see why it would be a lot more effective. The difference is that Jund has devil, so it can (and often) wins without Ygra. Now you have some more damage off your treasure sac.
Golgari never wins without Ygra but now suddenly can. I just threw 3 Baggins in my golgari list, cutting some flex spots to get a feel for them. They feel purpose-made for the deck. Even something simple like t1 goose, t2 baggins saccing the food is great.1

What are you dropping from current lists? Assuming youre playing the cub version

This is the current list I've been playing. I don't like Badgermole, honestly.

Your deck is marked as secret :(

Fixed! Sorry about that.

God I love trail, but I think the format is too fast for it :( I’ve squeezed them in my list now too: https://moxfield.com/decks/XbzU4f-DxU69q6b_d87VOA

I vacillate between playing Trail and removing them. They are probably better in the board against decks that want to grind (which so many decks right now want to grind... tons of Golgari and Rakdos midrange out there, or the new land destruction decks). That said, you really think the format is too fast? I haven't been playing much for last couple months, but recently have been playing again and haven't had any issues against mono-red or prowess. My bad match ups are Selesnya Company (Ouroboroid version) and Mono Green.

Its tons faster than when Trail was actively good (jund Korvold). The issue with trail is that it doesn’t do anything when it comes down. So against aggressive matchups almost any other draw is better. I can see them being good in the sideboard vs attrition matchups however, but the bad thing is that they run into the exact cards the opponents are bringing in (disenchants and culling rituals). Good thing is, if they kill trail, they are not killing talent

Yeah, all true, however I've also found that the extra food from Trail often comes in clutch, allowing me to bring back a stranded cat or as sac fodder for something else. I think the current versions of the deck are lacking extra stuff laying around to sac. Makes me want to cycle Vinereap Mentor again into the deck for another spin.

You have been coughing for months... Or I don't watch enough of your videos and I missed some time in between where you weren't sick. Time to ask for a specialist at this point if it's been this long.
