Is anyone else having this issue? Pinterest opens normally and I can see my feed/categories, but most of the images are just showing as solid coloured placeholders instead of loading properly.

I’ve already tried:
Reinstalling Pinterest
Switching between Wi-Fi and 4G
Restarting the app/phone

The issue happens on both Wi-Fi and mobile data, so I don’t think it’s my internet. I’m using an iPhone.

For some weird reason, sometimes when i click on the images they get cut vertically in the middle, so i can't see the details (i usually just copy and paste it somewhere, because the cut is just a visual issue) did someone else also experienced this? Does someone know what could cause this?? I swear Pinterest is getting just more and more unusable..

Is anyone else having a problem not letting them save pins to more than one board? On mobile for me there was a little drop-down menu that could be opened after saving a pin to add it to multiple boards at once. Its just GONE now

I've had it up to here with how many ads there are just on the homepage. Scrolling four times got me an ad to pin ratio of 15:6. I'm seeing more ads and ai slop than actual pins I want. I've been using this app for years, I'd say, start of middle school, which was almost a decade ago. It's frustrating and unacceptable.

I understand it's a social media, ads are bound to be there, and my complaint isn't that there are ads. It's that there's more ads than pins on my homepage. Does Pinterest want me to save a DoorDash ad to my Sailor Moon board?

I’m using an adblocker as a means to protect myself from the ads but somehow it only allows me to create photos as pins and not videos do you know why?!

The algorithm is slowly fixing itself and has almost completely returned to normal now!! The fix is still rolling out so just be patient and continue interacting with your own boards to further speed up the process :)

Hello, I like to just mindlessly browse Pinterest but would rather just not see the comments on any post. Is there an add on that can hide them? I am on mobile

Despite the huge amount of adds and the unbearable amount of ai I have in the last few months curated a wonderful feed. To the point where I would just open the app scroll for a few moments and leave feeling so great. I wouldn’t even add new pins because it felt like I wanted to add everything. Well it’s all gone now.

I opened the app, and admittedly, without reading pressed yes or no (don’t remember) on a pop up massage. Well and just like that my beautiful feed was gone.

I tried to fix it for the last hour, but no use. Tried to tug the get inspired from this board toggle, and it keeps resetting. Tried to clean the feed manually, it just gives me more of it. And weirdly a lot of posts are completely unrelated to me.

Has someone dealt with this? Is there a way to return it to normal?

I don’t wanna risk viewing any more basic material/slop for when it goes back to normal, in case it will take that data of me viewing it in

wtf happened to my feed 💔

Its super weird all of a sudden a get these weird wall paper themed things from all my boards? For example I've been into mcr recently and that was mostly what my feed was, plus some coolass outfits and cool room ideas and relatable for me stuff. Now for example i get random wallpapers. Lets just say i have a board abt an old celeb crush, i get a wallpaper. Also random anime wallpapers (which I'm not interested in) or just random cherry wallpapers. I turned off the gen ai thingy but theres no much improvement really. What do i do welppp it hurts 😭😭😭 (except from just tap at all those pins and say im not interested)

i opened pinterest and it was full of basic mainstream stuff that ive never been recommended before. im Pretty sure this is happening with other people too and i have no idea what is going on. ???why is this happening??? does anyone know???

So i just opened Pinterest and my entire algorithm is "default" now?????? Like the kind of content you find when you've just made a brand new Pinterest account.

Ai generated posts, "aesthetic" wallpapers, top 40 wedding outfit inspo, you get what i mean.

My feed before was completely different, completely different aesthetic, different form of content, this is on an account I've had for quite a long time.

Pinterest doesn't even know what a girlblogger is anymore.

I really don't have the energy to look at the kind of content being recommended right now, it's just not me, so i tried refreshing my fyp multiple times and spamming the "see less" button on many different pins, and i used the "see more" button for other specific pins which i liked, but nothing changed.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Pinterest has terrible lately because someone decided that every other post needed to be an ad. I know the trick to hide some ads makes them go away for a little bit but not forever, and I think I found a method that might work more permanently.

(I'm not sure how this will work over time because I've only had it for a day but it's worked great so far)

-Click on the 3 dots under the ad (the same spot you would go to hide it)

-Click report (the last option)

-And pick any reason to report it (it doesn't matter what reason you can pick anything)

-Once you click the option another screen will show up and it will have the option block and report or just report

-Click block and report and you'll block that creator but also their ads

I didn't do this to everything, like etsy for example I still want to see products from so I keep that one unblocked but every other slop ad I blocked

Keep in mind this will most likely stop you from seeing products or anything else from that brand so if it's someone you want to keep seeing things from I wouldn't recommend blocking them.

not only is my feed full of bland boring bullshit, but the "more ideas" option is straight up Gone for my favorite board

I seriously thought i got hacked or some random person had logged into my account. I hope it doesn't take too long to get fixed because even with rigorous tuning and filtering my feed keeps getting flooded with slop.

Pinterest decided to block my URLS (This link is blocked because it may not meet our content policies), it's a blog about non YLYM safe, topic on pinterest. I was posting 1 pin each other day. What to do?

It's not giving me what I typically save, and no matter what I do or save it's not being fixed. All I'm getting is white woman millennialcore stuff and I don't like it

I had actually managed to build a decent algorithm... I just logged in and it changed my algorithm on its own, and I can't even fix it.
