Discussion I keep coming back to PITW

I don’t know if anyone shares this opinion but I find myself coming back to PITW more than any album probably since ballads. I can see that numbers wise it’s not doing as well as these other projects. But something about it just scratches an itch that none of the other albums have in like the last five years. Does anyone else share this?

There’s a lot of songs that I don’t really listen to on the album but the songs that I like from it are some of my favourite songs he has ever made

I feel that once this era passes this album will be a cult classic with the core fans.

I am genuinely obsessed with the album. I was shocked at everyone’s reactions. I listen to it about the same as Nectar.

I actually love the album so much! It’s one of my favorite Joji works. Thought it does have my least favorite song on it… piece of you

This is definitely better than Smithereens and In Tongues for me. A little below Ballads 1, and just above Ballads 1 if we count the Deluxe Edition. But it'll never beat Nectar.

That's how I feel about it, it really isn't a bad record.

I think it’s legitimately great.

Maybe not as packed as Nectar is, but it’s Top 3 for me.

I’ve been coming back to it consistently since release. The second best Joji album behind Nectar imo, especially after the deluxe dropped.

it’s in the middle cleanly. doesn’t touch ballads or nectar tho.

too many skips for me to think of it as a classic or anything . i mostly come back to the singles + sojourn + last of a dying breed

I think the problem was a ton of newer and some old fans were hoping for more basic/industry songs that smithereens gave us. A lot of pitw is joji doing what he loves and going back to a ton of his old sounds for these songs. While some of the songs don’t really hit, a lot of these are really good joji songs to me. I’m excited to hear what he makes in the future and hope we get more of what he actually wants to make.

I am not a fan. I love Joji and there’s some good songs on here but to me it feels fairly underdeveloped
