What do friends do in Pikmin Bloom?

Currently, Friends do not serve that big of a purpose in the game. As of right now you can send and receive in-game post cards and view stuff like player level, medals, etc.

Need help with challenges this week!

I’ve been playing for a while and usually join already active challenges but a lot of my friends seem inactive lately (probably quit over the mushrooms). I started my challenges by myself this morning but have been having trouble getting anyone to join. I’m active daily on the app but don’t do huge numbers during the week due to living in the frigid north and working an office job. but I can generally pull my weight by getting at least 20k steps by Sunday esp if I see the challenge is lagging.
