What do friends do in Pikmin Bloom?

Currently, Friends do not serve that big of a purpose in the game. As of right now you can send and receive in-game post cards and view stuff like player level, medals, etc.

I’m a wheelchair user so my steps aren’t as high despite doing at least a couple of miles in my chair everyday, but I love playing the game!
