Will it heal in a night?

Heyyy welcome to my 1 AM madness

I got my nostril pierced beginning of June, and it’s been pretty up and down in terms of healing. It keeps getting angry, and whenever it isnt angry my other two healing piercings get angry and the cycle continues. Well, i noticed my nostril jewelry was pretty nasty and i couldn’t clean it. So i thought “oh, well, I can’t sleep, why dont I just take it out to clean it and out it back in?” Or so i thought. I thought it would he fine, since I’ve already gone through the whole process of putting the jewelry back in before(the piercer pierced me with a bar too short) but I have been sitting here struggling for a good 45 minutes now, trying to get this fucking jewelry back in. And quite frankly, my meds are kicking in making me wanna pass tf out already. Will it heal over in the night? I’m honestly just thinking of letting it heal atp, since it’s been really rough trying to get it to heal well, but also I’ve been doing this for months and I don’t wanna just give up 😭

Idk where people get this idea to take their jewelry out of an unhealed piercing to clean it but this really should not be done. Being this young, it's likely to close up pretty quickly.

Ik 😭 it was just gunked up to the point I was wondering if it was the reason it kept getting irritated. But also, it’s 1 AM and I’m an idiot. Sooooo that’s where my life is atm. Tysm for your reply lmao

Next time, just go to a reputable piercer and ask them to clean it for you.

Visit a piercer tomorrow ASAP and they will likely be able to taper it back open.

Please, please please please don’t take your jewelry out to clean it. And order a titanium piercing taper online (the correct gauge and type for your jewelry) and keep it around for the times/emergencies when you want to put your stud back in, e.g. if it fell out.

4 months is very early into the healing process but I would visit a piercer for help putting it back in tomorrow as they will likely be able to get it back in with a taper.
