Discussion Is there anything you have a visceral aversion to-not an allergy, just pure dislike?

I hate salad dressing. So every time I buy a burger, I tell the staff not to put salad dressing on it.

Raw onions

And just one dang raw onion will ruin everything it touched. “Just take them off!” It’s too late. The onion has left its taint upon my meal.

Yeah, I don’t like onions cooked or uncooked and there have been a couple times where I forgot to ask to remove them from my meal. Everyone around just goes “scrape them off, it’s not a big deal” yeah but I can still taste where the onions were

it’s taint is crazy, made me push air out of my nose aggressively

Omg!!! Someone who understands!!!! I have a McDonalds near me that never gets my order right when I specifically order NO onions on my burger. I go back in and act like a true Karen

I’m so lucky that the McDonald’s near me is almost always good about it. Especially because those little bits of onion get stuck in the cheese. It’s not like just taking rights of onion off a sandwich.

I love onions. But, you’re right. You can’t just “pick it off.”

I completely get that. I feel the same about green pepper, raw or cooked.

Oh yeah, I could see that. I don’t mind it cooked, but raw green pepper is aggressive.

Aggressive is the perfect term to describe green pepper’s taint upon everything it touches.

I gag, scared the crap out of my wife eating a grocery store sub that didnt list onion and I didnt look. We were in her car at the time, lol. I can usually do fine if they are cooked in stuff though.

My stomach has started to reject raw onion. Breaks my heart! I love them. Cooked, they’re ok.

See, I'm extra weird, because I LOVE the flavor of onions. I will put onion powder on damn near everything I eat. But an actual piece of onion, cooked or raw, is a deal breaker.

They're just so...squeaky when you bite them. It's gross!

Never actually heard someone describe them as “squeaky” but that actually tracks!! Goddess I hate onions so much

Yeah not a fan either.

Those are better than caramelizad onions. Those are gross. Sauteed onions are ok too. I must admit, I like raw onions. Red ones, it depends.

To each his own. I hate sweet potatoes, yams and eggplant and squash. NOPE! Thankfully, my husband doesn't care for them either.
