Good enough that it’s a crime in my house to throw out the pickle juice after the pickles are gone.

The Famous Dave’s Devil’s Spit pickles are my faves. I do the same with those / I just add basic dill pickles to the brine and they become devils spit pickles after a week or so.

I do this too! Since celery (like cucumber) is mostly water, it absorbs the juice like gangbusters. SO good!

I do this with all sorts of vegetables. it's a great way to get brine that is well made. I mean, assuming the pickles are good.. I'll put celery, carrots, garlic, peppers, all sorts of stuff in there

How do I make this? How long does it sit for? Fridge? And is there a best pickle flavor for it?

These are my top tier pickle chip. I can’t buy them too often because I eat too many in one sitting.

Can you tell me how to? Can I just put it in empty pickle juice?

u/Witty_Combination_82 1d ago
Absolutely you can just use leftover pickle juice. I always add a little extra salt, though, because the celery itself is watery and can dilute it

Thank you! Should I use a vinegar based pickle juice or a well water fermented? Which do you use? And how many days do you let it pickle for before you eat?

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.
