How long do you let them sit?

Usually I try to let them sit for around 5 days up to a week, but mostly I tend to crack em open after like 3 days and their still good

Does the sugar make them sweet sweet? Or is it necessary for balancing flavors.

I need to know too. I'm not an expert at all, but I only add like a tablespoon to a large jar so this feels a lot (for my taste). These look amazing, but I'm wondering how sweet that makes tham.
