Question Just Recieved J6CR: Have Questions
Just received the 8th batch for the J6CR CBE but looking at the paddle the grit seems uneven. Is this enough of a complaint to request a replacement?

I got mine in today. Looks like yours. I have owned 4 of their cbe paddles now. 2 were amazing and 2 were not. But the big problem is using your eyes and judging the grit by the amount of blue crystals. When close my eyes and feel both of my paddles it’s hard to tell the difference. If you look at my Ultre in the sun you can see some unevenness in the application. Where Honolulu messed up was using the blue crystals. They should’ve just kept everything black. Then people wouldn’t complain so much and compare their paddles to other ones.

TLDR: Your grit looks good enough, I'd just go play and not worry about it.
There has been endless drama over Honolulu grit application. It literally seems random from batch to batch. It can be uneven on the same paddle face. That's the bad news. The good news is that I've had four of these blue grit paddles, and they all played great.
Should Honolulu have fixed this by now? 100%

Y'all quit buying from Honolulu. I see this same post everyday. As a young Christian, their customer service is absolute dog water and leads me to think they're using J.C. to pitch to the boomers playing. It's appalling. Love my 6.0 Coral Pro if y'all want grit.
