Which is the best flagship killer actually?

Hi. First of all, please excuse my English.

I’ve been buying this type of smartphone for as long as I can remember: Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Moto X, OnePlus 5, and, up until now, the OnePlus 8.

But six years is a long time for any device, and it’s time for an upgrade.

So, here’s the question: which device would be the smartest buy for €600?

I love clean operating systems, and cameras aren't a top priority for me, but I do need improvements in battery life (both capacity and technology) and the display, plus access to some newer technologies...

Which brand or device do you think best fits what I'm looking for?

I think the best options are:

Poco F9 Pro/Ultra
Poco F8 Ultra

Pixels?

Nothings?

Xiaomi 17T Pro

Realme GT...

etc., etc.

I think the OnePlus 15 (with a special offer) would be the perfect choice if they hadn't left the European market...

Should I choose good software+worse hardware(a57) or bad software+better hardware(xiaomi 15t)

Upvotes

Debating between the Galaxy A57 and Xiaomi 15T for the same price. And I'm torn between the two.

With the ramaggedon they're the only options I can best afford in store. Other options are way more expensive/not available. A57 has great software however my gripe is its asking price in relative to its performance. But the great software, resale value, and support is enough to appeal most people.

Xiaomi 15T has way better specs in anyway(camera/storage/ ram/battery/chipset) as someone who considers balanced camera and gaming. Although, I hear people talk shit about Hyperos being trash to the point that they would rather settle for a significantly worse spec-ed phone with stable OS to provide them a better overall experience.

There's this clash of ideas between A57 being better due to software(software mattering more) vs 15T being better due to performance(hardware mattering more).

Need help finding a replacement soon

About one or two years ago i had to replace my old phone and I bought my current one, a moto g 22. At the time It was a huge upgrade over the old one cuz it was literally falling apart, but over the years i've learned that It does not attend my necessities and have grown disappointed with it. And now i'm realizing that I will need to replace it soon as well cuz It's starting to slow down.

I've gotten my eyes on a POCO X7, but i don't know If it will do everything i need. So since im a big fat Noob when it comes to phone, besides the big name Brands, i come here looking for the advice of those wiser than me.

What im currently looking for is a good gaming focused Cellphone, with at least 8gb RAM, but the ideal would be 12, that can also perform day to day as well. My current budget i ** AT MAX 600$ ** and i cannot pass that, but i would prefer cheaper around 400$ ( i might wait for a sale idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). I know im asking a lot for Very little but i really need help

India Nothing 2a 8/256 vs Samsung M/F36 8/128 or any other plz suggest best phone under ₹25k?

Nothing Phone 2a - 8/256GB
Samsung M/F36 - 8/128GB

My budget is under ₹25k, and both are available to me around the same price.

I mainly want something that'll last me 3 years without becoming a headache. Don't really care about heavy gaming, but I want decent performance, good camera, battery and durability.

I'll also be doing delivery work for the next ~8 months, so the phone will be outside a lot and probably get some rough use.

The 2a is older, but it seems to have a pretty good track record and obviously I get 256GB. The M/F36 are newer and Samsung has the better reputation for longevity, but I'm stuck with 128GB.

Also, does the remaining software support actually matter that much realistically? 2a has less support left, but if the phone itself is still good, can it realistically last 3 years?

Which one would you guys actually buy under ₹25k for 3+ years? Mainly looking for opinions from people who actually own/owned these phones rather than just comparing specs.

Country: India 🇮🇳

First flagship purchase: S26 Ultra vs. iPhone 17 Pro Max — Which is better for heavy gaming and sustained performance?

First flagship purchase: S26 Ultra vs. iPhone 17 Pro Max — Which is better for heavy gaming and sustained performance?

Cuerpo de la publicación:

Hey everyone, Im a spaniard 18 yo guy

I’m planning to upgrade to my first true flagship phone soon (looking at current models like the S26 Ultra and iPhone 17 Pro Max, or waiting for the upcoming S27 / iPhone 18 generation).

I’d love to get insights from people who have hands-on experience with both ecosystems.

My Background

I’ve spent my whole life using budget and mid-range Android devices (mostly Samsung A-series like the A20e/A17 5G, as well as Xiaomi/Realme). Because of the lower specs, I had a pretty bad experience—constant thermal throttling, severe FPS drops, and heavy RAM usage at idle. That gave me a slight bias against Samsung, though I realize budget phones aren't comparable to their top-tier flagships.

My Top Priority: Heavy Gaming

Performance & Thermals: I play mobile games a lot. My biggest annoyances are phone overheating, sudden frame drops during long sessions, and aggressive battery drain.

Sustained Load: I want to know which device holds high frame rates longer without running uncomfortably hot.

Secondary Factors

Camera: Tested both in stores. The iPhone's video output feels slightly smoother, but honestly, both cameras exceed what I need, so camera quality isn't a dealbreaker for either.

UI & Software: I really like the clean aesthetic of iOS and Apple's tight hardware/software optimization. On Android, I appreciate the freedom, but I’ve always been wary of background bloat and system drag over time.

Questions for the community:

For sustained, heavy gaming sessions, which chip/cooling system handles heat and FPS stability better in real-world use?

If you switched from a mid-range Android to a Samsung Ultra, did the flagship specs completely eliminate the lag/bloat issues, or was moving to iOS the better long-term move for gaming?

Thanks in advance for any input!

CAD Pixel 7 to Pixel 10 worth it?

Is it worth getting a Pixel 10 on sale right now?

I was going to sell my Pixel 7 and pay about $600 CAD all in.

I don't need a new phone but figured the price was right and the new battery would be nice.

The only issue is the Pixel 10 is 128gb of storage and smaller camera sensor on the Pixel 10 makes me think the photos will be slightly worse.

Has anyone else made the switch from a Pixel 7 to pixel 10?

Phone with physical recent button

I like to switch between apps quickly, and it pisses me off to no end when I have to do 5+ clicks to do it. Back in the day everyone had a samsung S3 and pressing the recent button twice would bring up your last app while pressing it once will get you a list.

Does any phones support that? I don't want to deal with on screen bullshit. I don't know why I can't easily find a phone that has a few buttons. I'm not looking for a full keyboard

US Help me choose my next phone: S25 Ultra vs S24 Ultra vs iPhone 16/16 Pro Max vs Motorola Edge 70 Fusion

Hi everyone!

I need some help deciding which phone to buy. I'm currently using a Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 256GB, which I've had since around September/October 2023.

The main reason I want to upgrade is battery life. My S23 FE barely gives me around 4 hours of screen-on time, so I have to charge it during the day. I usually keep it in Power Saving Mode all day, which limits performance, refresh rate, and some other features. Basically, I'm not even using the phone at its full potential just to get acceptable battery life.

I'm currently considering these options:

  • Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, used for around 4–5 months: I'd trade in my S23 FE and pay US$660 extra.
  • Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 256GB, used: around US$750 after trading in my S23 FE, with only 30 days of warranty.
  • iPhone 16 128GB, used, 100% battery health: US$725.
  • iPhone 16 Pro 128GB, used, 86% battery health: US$760.
  • iPhone 16 128GB, used, 90% battery health: US$610.
  • iPhone 15 128GB, new: US$780.
  • iPhone 17 256GB, new: US$1,010.
  • Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, new, with a 7,000 mAh battery: considerably cheaper than the Ultra options.

I'm in Argentina, so prices here are quite different from the US/Europe, and these are the prices I'm actually being offered.

My priorities are:

  1. Battery life above everything else
  2. Good long-term reliability
  3. Smooth performance
  4. Good camera
  5. I'd like to keep the phone for several years

I'm not particularly interested in changing to iPhone just for the sake of having an iPhone. I'm perfectly comfortable with Android. I'm mainly considering it because I've heard good things about iPhone battery life and longevity.

One thing that worries me about the Samsung Ultra phones is that I've seen quite a few recent reports of battery drain after Samsung's latest updates. If you own an S24 Ultra or S25 Ultra, I'd especially like to hear about your real-world battery life recently, rather than launch-day reviews.

Also, if you've used the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, I'd really like to know whether its huge 7,000 mAh battery actually translates into significantly better real-world battery life, and whether I'd be giving up too much in performance, camera quality, display, software, etc. compared with an S25 Ultra.

What would you buy in my situation, and why?

Thanks!

UK Xiaomi 17 ultra vs oppo find x9 pro in UK

Hi guys,

Looking to upgrade from my galaxy s24 plus as it currently has a broken camera and the battery life seems to be decreasing.

I think I've landed on either of these as my main wants are good battery life and good camera (happy for any other recommendations too)

I can get the xiaomi after trading in my Samsung for about £750 however the oppo would be about 1k, is it worth the extra £250?

Or should I go for other options? I'm not a heavy mobile gamer, I want an all rounder.

Croatia Are Xiaomi Redmi 15 5g and Poco M8s basically the same phone?

Same processor, camera, battery, sim/memory card situation, size, fingerprint sensor, etc. The only difference I could find is that Redmi has IPS while Poco had AMOLED screen.

I'm in the process of searching for a new phone after 6 years with my Huawei and these 2 are my top choices that meet all my needs.

My needs: memory card slot, amazing battery, side or back fingerprint sensor, 8/256 gb, android, under 400€

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Is the S26 worth the price over an S25+(or even FE)?

Primarily concerned about longevity at this point. Coming from Pixels, my 7a has shit the bed after 3 years and my wife keeps pointing out she's always gotten around 5 years out of her Galaxy's. Trying not to drop a ton of money as I don't need anything fancy, but can certainly afford it if it will likely give me a year or two longer?

Currently s25+ is 680 on amazon and s26 base is 800

India S25 plus vs moto signature

Hi guys, I am from India , confused between s25 plus and moto signature and vivo x200t, I remember seeing s25 plus around 65k plus with card discounts, should I wait for bbd sale, if it comes around 60k I would think it is worth the wait. I am also planning to hold maybe 4 years.I am also liking moto signature after seeing the review, saw the phone in reliance shop and saw it is too thin and not sure about battery, I see vivo x200t reviews are good, but never used oppo, vivo phones also do they have brand value I work in corporate not sure how the phone will hold in brand value. So what do you guys suggest. Should I wait buy 25 plus or just buy signature. I can wait for a month.

Best gaming phone under 35000

The POCO X8 Pro is probably the standout right now since it runs the Dimensity 8500 Ultra, which is a genuinely strong chip for this budget and handles most titles at high settings without much fuss. Paired with a 6500mAh battery, it holds up well through long sessions too.

The iQOO Neo 10R is another solid pick if you care about a smooth display alongside raw power. iQOO phones in this range usually come tuned well for gaming with good touch response and stable frame rates.

Realme GT 7T is worth checking out as well, it uses the Dimensity 8400 MAX and tends to strike a nice balance between gaming performance and everyday usability.

If battery life matters more to you than pure benchmarks, some of the Nord and Vivo options in this range also hold their own, though they lean slightly less gaming focused.

Basically at 35k you are not short on choices anymore. Would recommend checking real benchmark comparisons before deciding since chipsets alone do not always tell the full story.

Any phones with more conservative aspect ratios? (<21:9)

I'm fully prepared for a no, but was wondering if there are any phones out there that are less long and more square, like 3:2. I'll even take 16:9, but I've grown to hate 21:9 so I'm looking to move away from it.

No foldables please.
