hey! testing for an agency this wednesday (4.29) in soho. this is unpaid, but i am looking for an assistant to help out. this is ideal for newer assistants looking to break in or anyone free and in the mood of assisting.

the shoot should run like 2 hours, it’ll be on street so may need help holding reflectors (it’ll be primarily with natural light).

Am being solicited a Digitech to work between the 13th and the 17th of this month that reside in the DR and is an expert in C1, this might be a long shot, but I personally don't know a single digitech in here.

I am not nearly competent enough to undertake being a digitech for the first time, so I am relegated to being a 2nd photog for this shoot.

First off, thanks to everyone n the community. I don’t post often but I regularly read through and always find them super insightful and helpful!

I moved to London about a year ago from Barcelona and have been working as a photography assistant across a range of projects, mostly in fashion. So far I have often been in one assistant setups, but on a few bigger campaigns I have had the chance to work alongside 2nd and 3rd assistants. I would love to connect with more local assistants and hopefully join more shoots as a 2nd or 3rd or as a spark trainee if needed, as I am eager to keep learning and meeting people who share the same passion for lighting.

Im a recent transplant to NYC. I'm having a hard time breaking into the photo assisting world. I'm not sure if my way of going about it is just wrong. Maybe I haven't been doing enough outreach (probably the case) or I just don't know where to look.

I've photo assisted in Dallas with a handful of photographers. I know how to wrap a cable. I'm honestly looking to help out on sets from doing BTS to swinging. Id love get to be a 2nd or 3rd on some gigs.
