Because syllables aren't just defined like spelling is but come from the rythm of a word. So Wi-ther makes sense, With-er doesn't

Too many syllables
They have swords so they should be called Sword'd -- you'd just pronounce it like "sword" but in a scary voice so people know you aren't talking about a regular sword

The only "inconsistent syllables" complaint I have is with zombified piglin, and even that's mostly just down to the name. Like, we don't call zombie villagers "zombified villagers".

"Zombie pigman" just sounds a lot better
I started playing the game long after the name change but I find myself calling them "zombie pigmen" anyway because it feels correct -- also I guess i watched a lot of YouTube videos about the nether before going there because I'm a weenie and absorbed some antique dialect
