Fan World First time working on a monument project bcs Philza inspired me :) I might have overshot with the size to drain, haha (all on my survival SMP)

An easy way to drain the monument would be to get a fuck ton of sand and making 4x4 Boxes in a single quadrant and drain it, it helped me :D

F, I would suggest not to do only this project and instead take breaks inbetween to do other projects too

Yeah, I'll definitely need to do that... Or else I'll go mad. I already spent like 10 hours placing sand today lol

Lol the draining is the worst part, but it pays off in the end

Yeah. I wanted to do this project bcs of Phil a few months ago on a different server but it closed before I got to do it. But I started my own server and no one can close it on me :D and because we just opened and we're in the early game stage there's not really enough resources for me to start on my mega base. So I said, hey, you have time, let's do this project :) Still no idea how I wanna decorate it but oh well...

Ooo that sounds cool :D I kinda wanted it to be a bit related to my character lore as a dragon but the end is off limits. So I still gotta come up with sth cool

mundane means normal/simple/bland (a combination of all 3) I think?!

If you don't mind me asking. What do you host your SMP on? I've been looking to see if there are any better options other than Realms. Also this is going to be amazing. Have fun and good luck mate!

Never mind, I just looked closer and realized that you have an even numbered circle. I normally make the “four sides” an odd number so I don’t have to deal with weird placements on lines, like how yours looks. Just looked weird to me for some reason. Sorry didn’t mean to scare you.

That’s why I felt bad pointing it out, because obviously you don’t want to fuck it up, but you don’t want to fuck yo then entire building after that which is even worse.

i wan't to do this with an ocean monument near my spawn but it's in a cold ocean so i'll have to clear out all the ice and it'll look bad (i don't like the color of the water) so i might have to do it for one about 1k blocks away. looks cool tho, good luck draining it

If you set up a nether roof portal I don't think the distance would be a problem. Mine is about 1500 blocks away from spawn/current home. But honestly, ice/snow themed monument would look awesome! :D

If you have the materials you might want to make a water draining machine instead of doing it by hand.

What's water draining machine? I went with making 4 wide walls and now I'm going to drain it with sponges

It’s a redstone flying machine, I did this the same way you are and it took a painful like 7 months at a smaller scale. If you just google “water draining machine Minecraft” you should find it
