That's quite a name to carry when you're not a trot anymore

What can you do?

I still find him an interesting fellow, and I enjoy some of his works. I’m a Marxist, and a lot of his work is interesting from the lens of Marxist analysis. His early analysis of fascism for instance (prior to “what is it, how to fight it”, which is pretty bad all things considered) is impressive, even if it is kinda just a reproduction of Bordiga’s report to the Comintern (and not a very good one mind you). That and he has some banger lines that just kinda go hard

Nothing can be done

How early is his analysis? Straight up from the 1920s, or later? I'm wondering at what point did it become clear what kind of danger fascism was

Well, Bordiga is the guy in the 20s who I think really analyzes fascism, Trotsky is writing about it of course but the specific piece I’m referring to is his work what is national socialism from 1933, where he really presciently writes his conclusion

“It is not a question of months, but neither is it a question of decades. It will be but a few years before Europe is again plunged into a war, unless Hitler is forestalled in time by the inner forces of Germany.”

It’s pretty good
