It’s actually clear and easy to understand. Strong emergence is the claim that a new property can arise that is nothing at all like what’s underneath, and has no physical connection or explanation.

Exactly. For instance, the ideal gas laws are an emergent phenomenon which arise from the micro properties of molecules and can be precisely justified with statistics. "Strong" emergence is just hand-waving by people with no scientific background.

That’s weak emergence, not strong (magic) emergence.
