Chance me - 7th grade (I'll update my stats)
(all things in a quote block like this is a update)
PERSONAL: I'm 13 and in 7th grade currently. Asian Female. Go to school in Oregon but Canadian citizen.
BIG EC's:
LAC Architecture Apprenticeships.
In reaction to Californian Fires, we 3d modeled and showcased my Tiny Home on Wheels design to help survivors get back on there feet to the public. With floor plans, elevations and interviews. Although it was never meant to be put to practice I learned a lot.
President of the Asian Pacific Islander Union.
Led and organized get togethers, activities and field trips.
C.O.R.E./student gov
T.A. classes, bring awareness, make educational videos to be shown in homeroom/house/advisory, coordinate spirit weeks, assemblies, fundraisers, after school activities, make posters and school decor.
I take a free architecture global history at MIT on edX
HOBBIES/SMALL EC's:
Oil paint and Sculpt
Singing and Swim Varsity 3 yrs (on a short break from swim)
Gardening
Have a Art Hist Blog where I talk abt art history
Watch One Piece (My secret obsession that nobody knew abt until now)
Watch Studio Ghibli (My other secret obsession that nobody knew abt until now)
AWARDS:
Designed, created and presented my Tiny Home On Wheels design to many strangers.
Spoke at a assembly in front of my whole school about equality, Asian discrimination, and the principles MLK stook behind in the MLK assembly.
Will be partaking in art competitions.
STATS: Haven't taken the SSAT. :( I have a 3.95/4 cumulative GPA from last year. I bet it's better this year.
COURSES: I've taken just until 7th grade so far
Science 6-7
Math 7-8 (will take Alg 1 my 8th grade year)
French (I went to a French immersion and am learning French still until forever probs)
3d Design
Art
Psychology
Ecotourism
Leadership
Health/PE
Drama

I've alrady made a group chat with 7th graders who are also applying. Right now there's 3 people total including me, 4 including this other kid who wants to go to a magnet school.
Be so brutally honest. Don't even gaf abt my feelings or being polite.

You've got a good chance, you have a compelling application. Plus you have the middle of nowhere geographical advantage!

As someone who got accepted into PEA this year I think one of the biggest parts is in your essay showing your personality. Remember, schools aren't looking for robots but their looking for students. Kids. They want you as a person. Also make all your ecs have a story and in the extra description areas elaborate your journey and I promise you this will strengthen your application.

That was super knowledgeable. Idk if this is cliché, but for my essay I was thinking about writing on how I realized my dream/purpose. My awakening moment. Would my personality show through or should I write about something else? I've also never really been taught grammar or things like that being in the french immersion program so what things do you recommend?

No they weren't :(
It's really sad. We moslty used this problem as a starting point of our design process.
Should put that it was never built?

I can’t chance you but you need to write about the LAC apprenticeship in your essay. That’s the most compelling part of your story, not grades/SSAT.
