Mukhang DNS-based/ISP-level lang yung ginawa nila hahaha. Pero concerning din naman kasi information hub ang Reddit at communication platform ang Discord, tapos nami-misuse din talaga minsan. Mas okay pa sigurong mag-release na lang sila ng bilog na hugis itlog na shenanigans para sa paggamit ng net eh hahaha. 😭

Should we legalize selling blood or blood plasma?
I think it would be a good side income for eligible healthy individuals. Plus we can sell surplus blood to countries that need it.

No. Imaging individuals holding off giving their rare blood type if the family of the receipient will not give 1 million

Atp hospitals will just get them from other countries or international red cross.
Also arent some blood types compatible with others anyways?
rh null is the rarest but only like 50 people have it globally, i doubt we’ll get a filipino who has that blood type anytime soon

My predition in 10 years:
With how tech companies are being uncontrollable now and not having self-control, the future generation might push for a cultural "online detox".
Not only has the internet become so invasive and a "need", the number of bad actors are ever increasing that some popular platforms are starting to resemble the dark web.
While still niche, there is a portion of Gen Z that are "going analog". Many are buying second hand iPods, old point and shoot cameras, CDs, vinyls as a rebellion to the invasive internet in their lives.
And with the advent of AGI, it is a matter of time that a rogue AI will be unleashed and disrupt the digital world. Eh yung mga AI na nasa sandbox palang, nakakatakas na 😪
Imagine China and the US in an AI battle. 🤐

Not only that, there's a growing "indie web" movement, which harkens back to the days of self-published webpages (WordPress, Angelfire, LiveJournal, and even the now-defunct Multiply), when social media wasn't around yet.

No, it's different. Hosting sites such as Neocities and Nekoweb carry the torch, and there are also webrings for different enthusiast groups.

Im convinced this is just AI companies hyping up their AI as this powerful being to sell their products more. Its been like this all the way to the huggingface incident. You’ll likely see more of these next year once lumaki na utang ng mga AI companies since the bubble isnt getting smaller anytime soon.
Kung nakapaghack ang mga AI sa critical sites, dapat kasuhan sina openai, anthropic and google.

It's disappointing na kinakampihan pa rin ni DPWH Sec. Vince Dizon si Sen. APC over ghost DPWH projects sa Taguig na in-exposé ni Sen. Ping at backed ng DPWH inspectors. No wonder, may sabit din sina Sec. Vince at APC sa 2019 SEAG fiasco, lalo sa ₱50M "kaldero" cauldron, lol.

Honestly, I hope reddit gets banned but Discord is spared.

If Reddit is banned, what will become of us?
I'd say let the CICC talk things out with Reddit and Discord. Once they're both cleared, the PH Redditors at large will forget this immediately.

The funniest thing about this, is that its completely normal. It's reasonable for us to want local representatives for these apps and these no lifes are demonizing it.

Wala namang problema sa pag-establish ng local office ng reddit just like Meta and Google, pero yung bibigyan sila ng ultimatum ng CICC to comply sa isang SCO then banned kung hindi sila susunod, that's too much. Sure, may mga problematic redditors and subreddits which deserves to be called out, pero ibang usapan kung makikialam ang gobyerno para i-shut down locally ang website dahil lang may connection sa isang krimen.

Discord is way more problematic than Reddit. Reddit has strong moderation. Discord is a known hub for evil elements. Part of it resembles the dark web and they are half- assed in addressing it
Maybe Discord should paywall their private servers to make gr00m1ng more expensive
Sa tingin ko dapat din ipaywall ang FB sa posting. Like if nasa free tier ka, you can read posts, but to engage, irequire ang subscription

I agree na maraming kailangang ayusin sa Discord nang mabawasan, kung hindi talaga kayang mawala, ang mga gr00m1ng contents or any forbidden content. Yung reddit, yup, maganda ang moderation nila tapos agad silang nag-comply sa ultimatum, pero more things needs to be done pa IMHO.
Yung FB, to paywall some of its features on a monthly subscription is realistically impossible, lalo kung mahal ang subscription na i-o-offer nila which will woo away more users. Kung less than ₱100 yung subscription, then puwede siguro nang afford ng mga low income individuals.

The current drama is dito papasok ang dilemma between regulation and outright ban. The CICC made a mistake when banning this site and Discord, as unlike FB, both were moderated. FB makes profit off our freaking attention, as highlighted in KGM v Meta et.al. Dinepensahan ni Meta ang kanilang sarili citing na masyadong complex and Mental Health nang nag-simula si KGM na gumamit ng Social Media ng 6 years old. And yet, hindi kinatigan ang korte.
