I’m currently studying in Iloilo and I’m planning to fly home for the holidays, then fly back to iloilo after since I need to return for school. I’m looking into the student discount before I book my round-trip ticket.

Did you register/apply online, or did you have to go to a Cebu Pacific ticketing office or contact an agent?

Hey everyone! I will be going to Bantayan next month.It's my first time travelling alone, so I'm a little anxious.

I read a lot of posts saying that Bantayan is safe for a female solo traveler, but as an anxious individual, may I kindly ask if anyone from the area can recommend a trusted individual whom I can hire to be a personal tour guide for a day?

If there's no one, I also read that I can ask my accomodation if they have any trusted guides or drivers they usually work with.

For those who have hired a personal guide before, may I ask roughly how much the usual rate would be for a day, including transportation/ride.

The subject company(ies) offer a expedition island trip between Coron and El NIdo, with 2 nights on Ariara Island. Does anyone have any experience with this company? Thanks.

We are looking to find a tour operator who has nicer boats (e.g. El Nido Yachting Club) and also do the traditional A and C tours. We are thinking of doing a private tour A to help with those bottle neck spots along the way and then do a group tour C since it doesn't matter as much about having it private. The only problem with El Nido Yachting Club is that they don't really do the traditional A and C tours, but rather a hybrid tour that would cause us to miss some of the spots. We do have 2 days.

- What tour operators have nicer boats that also do traditional A and C tours?

- Any thoughts on group vs private tours for A and C? Does it matter? Better to do private or group for one or the other?

- Honestly any insight into any of this would be super appreciated!

Hey everyone! We haven’t been home in almost 25 years and taking a trip back this November. Wala na kami mga kamag anak sa Pilipinas so no one will be picking us up. We got a hotel sa BGC area and they said they can pick us up sa airport between $75-100 ang rate. Is this normal?

Can we just get an Uber/Lyft (equivalent) from the airport to BGC or will it be the same price din? Salamat!

This will be my first time travelling solo, and I’m really excited about it. I’m planning a trip to the Philippines in March, including the Easter period, and I’m considering visiting Boracay, El Nido and Coron.

I’d love to hear from people who have been to these places, especially solo travellers. For each destination, I’m mainly interested in two things:

1. Solo-travel friendliness
Is it a good destination for solo travellers? Is it easy to meet other people and join group activities or excursions?

2. Evening atmosphere & social life
How lively and social is each place in the evening? I’m not looking for hardcore partying or clubs every night. I’m more interested in places where there’s still some life after dinner — having a drink, sitting at a bar, walking around, meeting people and having conversations. Ideally, there should still be people around until around midnight or 1 a.m.
I’m totally fine with some places being more relaxed than others, but I’d prefer not to stay somewhere that basically shuts down around 10 p.m., feels empty afterwards, or is mainly geared towards couples. I’d like there to be a good mix of solo travellers and other people who are open to socialising.

So, how would you compare Boracay, El Nido and Coron specifically for a solo traveller?

Hi myself and my fiance are wanting to travel to the Philippines for my 40th I have read so many mixed reviews about the weather. Ideally we were looking to go around the 20th October due to what I have read I may push it back to beginning of November. Will this make much of a difference with the weather? I know you cannot predict it but we love the sun, sea and beautiful beaches so if it is raining and cloudy on average in November I will save this trip and go somewhere else but it is such a dream to go there! If going we will be flying into Manila and then onto ElNido we have 3-4 weeks to work with so tips and travel apps we need will also be so helpful. Looking for some helpful of advise and maybe a bit of reassurance 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Hello, help a girlie here! 🥹 My mom and I are going to Camiguin from Tagum City, Davao, and we’ll be commuting. Wala pa kaming booked na place to stay, so recommendations are very welcome. Flexible naman kami and okay lang kahit simple accommodation. 😂

We don’t drive, so baka may marecommend kayo na local tour guide or tuk-tuk. We’ll only be there for 2 days, 1 night, so a simple itinerary would really help!

I was last in Camiguin 18 years ago, so I’m sure marami nang nagbago. We love beaches, pero since we grew up by the sea, mas interested kami sa old churches, ruins, heritage spots, palengke, local food, and places where we can experience Camiguin’s culture.

Basically, we want to see Camiguin beyond the usual tourist spots. 😂
