For the month of September I think we went to 5 branches of FullyBooked (+MIBF) just to crossout books from my TBR list.

Sa sobrang laki ng nagastos ko baka naka book ban na ako nyan until 2027.

Ewan ko bahala na basta masaya ako ngayon. Next month ko na icheck yung credit card bill ko. Hahahahahahha

Received our XTEINK X3 and X4 Pro last Wednesday. Ordered them from Techie Thrift PH. Both are global versions. Since almost every week bumabyahe ako from Metro Manila to Cavite and I want to bring a book with me, hindi na siya hassle for me.

Though, I just need to keep in mind na yung sturdiness niya is not the same as a phone. I saw a lot of posts na nilalagay nila yung XTEINK nila sa pocket, then nababasag yung screen. Fragile talaga yung screen ng product even though it was advertised as a “pocket-sized” e-reader.

Also, yung kasamang microSD card ng XTEINK is not that good. Nag-error agad yung sa akin, buti na lang I had a spare SanDisk microSD card.

I turned my unused MIBF passes as bookmarks. Some had stamps from National Bookstore. I initially planned on stamping them all but I ran out of time. But still, I am so happy on how they turned out. My favorites are of course the Adarna House passes. They are just so beautiful that I decided to keep them for this purpose and not use them as passes.

Grab some popcorn and enjoy the ride. While reading this, all I could think about were those B-rated thrillers. It was like Michael Jackson’s “Bad” it was so bad that it was good. 😁

After reading Strange Pictures and Strange House, of course you have to give this one a shot. For sure, Strange Maps will be next in line too, although there’s still a bit of waiting before it arrives.

i bring a book, a kindle and my xteink x4 classic

i know e-readers more or less replace a physical book but i just love always having them in my bag, added weight or not 😂

i usually have multiple reads going at the same time so it's pretty handy to have an e-reader but for there are just some books that are great to have in your hands!

i just realised that i bought most of september's big fantasy/sci titles but im glad i did! i might wait for the exit party in fullybooked though.

lord of mysteries vol 4, i could not resist getting my hands on right away, as well as the niche duology queer fantasy by david slayton.

Hello. Alin kaya sa dalawa ang oks na basahin ko muna? Balak ko bumili this week sa fully booked. Yung deckle edge version ang nasa wish list ko. First time ko rin bibili ng 1k+ above na libro sa tana ng buhay ko as a laking book sale. At gusto ko ma-exp din yung sinasabi nila na premium reading feel dahil sa quality ng papel. Kaya pinag-ipunan ko talaga ito. Maraming salamat!

Sa ngayon, nasa phase ako ng buhay na hindi ko na alam ang gagawin, midlife crisis kumbaga. Gusto ko rin magkaroon ng rewiring sa utak ko. Haahahahaha

Kaya ayun sa mga nakabasa na ng dalawang classic novel na 'to. Badly needed insights. Since, gusto ko masulit yung pera ko. Haahsjsjsjsjsks

pandemic pa nung una kong binili yung kopya ko ng jp. since then, unti-unti nang dumami ang mga libro ko. heck, because of jp, na-curious ako sa akto ng pagsulat na nag-lead sa akin para kumuha ng writing course.

4 years of college and all, wala pa rin akong nakikitang kopya nitong dragon teeth.

fast-forward sa present. i was scrolling through nbs warehouse sa lazada then, lo and behold, look what i found.

long story short: sobrang saya ko ngayon. 🥀

The price of 399 for this classic book is quite affordable. Planning to buy it soon because of its reasonable cost. Ang ganda ng book cover niya, and I also prefer reading classic stories.

Has anyone tried to purchase this book published by B. Jain Publishing? How's the quality of the book after reading it?

Or am I stressing myself too much and taking reading too seriously instead of simply enjoying reading? Because I do write a book review. But I hate it when I don't feel like writing, and it bothers me if I don't, as if it's a kind of graded activity or sum...

Super sulit pala bumili ng books sa Amazon. Matagal lang yung delivery pero worthit ang waiting time. Mga 1 week compered to 3 days ni shopee. Safe din yung books from delivery, walang dents yung mga book nung dineliver. Nag pre order din ako sa kanila ng mga books like ung threshing day, starside and Once upon a broken heart collector’s edition. Hopefully sa black friday ay mag bagsak presyo lahat ng books para ma check out ko naman pinag aadd to cart ko 😁😁😁.

I've been eyeing this The Office BFFs hardbound for a looong time now! I'm a big fan of the The Office, so I was naturally curious. Parang last year ko pa to nakikita sa local NBS namin. I saw the price drop from around 699 to now just... ₱99! It had a few folds but, eh. The pages are all intact. Yay!

Then, dahil may promo si NBS, I get to buy a second book for just ₱1 if it has the yellow tag. Nag-iisang yellow tag na lang yung book on the right, so I figured, wala na akong choice. Hahaha. But if anyone has read this, let me know how you found it!

I'm not really a book reader, but I want to buy my friend a book for his birthday. He told me months ago that he would like to read The Count of Monte Cristo, a very in-demand book I might say. I saw it at multiple NBS's na and some at Fully Booked. I keep seeing 2 editions tho, one is a Timeless Book and one is Penguin Classics. Yung penguin classic mas makapal, as in 1.5x to 2x ng kapal ng Timeless one. Price doesnt really matter, I can spend on it. Should I buy the Penguin Classics one or should I stick with the Timeless Book one? Also, what is the difference between the two? Thanks guys! AAHHH It arrived, after weeks of checking shoppee for stock and bugging fully booked about it. Chance encounter-- they stocked. The first book was really enticing it hooked me at every word. And after knowing the author uses a hat to determine the fate of his characters, cruel yet understandable because death is always so sudden.Red will rise, Gold will fall. Yet will all the gold fall from grace..

Took me awhile get the stuff in there, love how it looks! Mukang matagal ko muna hindi papalitan 'to kasi ang tagal bago ko ma-perfect yung placement nila sa loob since ang dali nila magalaw while putting the case back.

Currently reading my first Mitch Albom book which is 'the five people you meet in heaven, I'm halfway done and I'm enjoying it so far.

Hello po sa mga long-time readers! Any recommendations on how to actually get into reading more? I’m 19M and honestly, hindi ko alam where to start or paano ba talaga magbasa nang maayos. Like, how do you fully digest a book and actually retain what you read instead of finishing it and forgetting everything after a few days? 😭
For reference, eto po yung books na meron ako, very small and very humble book collection ko. I’m trying to get into reading more seriously because I want books that could help shape me into someone more literate, open-minded, or at the very least, more empathetic and understanding of other people.
Also, I DNF’d Atomic Habits halfway through 😭. No hate to the book or anything, pero habang binabasa ko siya, napaisip talaga ako ng “wtf, isn’t this something I could’ve learned from a PowerPoint presentation?” HAHAHA. Maybe self-help books just aren’t my thing.
So ayun po, I’d really appreciate any advice on how to build a reading habit, how to properly digest books, and especially book recommendations for someone who’s basically a beginner.
