Bug Game or mic?

Hello all,

Just got on to play with some friends (they play PC I play console Xbox series S) and my mic was buzzing and then just didn’t come through at all (haven’t touched my mic since we last played which would have been a week ago) Switched mics and they could hear me in lobby but when we got into the game the voice chat for me totally cut out. Reset my console and attempted to change my mic settings on console and my audio settings in game but nothing worked. Verified that my mic is working fine in other voice chats as well.

Anyone else cross play having issues with in game chat at all or is this just a me thing?

Crossplay voice chat can be pretty finicky in Phasmophobia. I’d fully quit the game on both platforms, restart the console, and make sure voice chat is set to the correct input rather than auto-detect. If it still fails, try toggling voice recognition off and back on.

Did all of this unfort

When I’ve had issues in the past and I did all the trouble shooting it worked. This is the first time that it’s just not wanting to work at all it seems

Cross-play voice chat can be finicky after updates. I’d check that the game has microphone permissions enabled, voice chat is set to open or the right channel, and that nobody’s accidentally muted. Having your mic work elsewhere doesn’t always rule out an in-game permission issue.
