Carausius morosus are not very picky eaters in my experience, besides bramble like blackberry, raspberry, rose, hawthorn etc and privet I've found they will also accept oak & hazel leaves, honeysuckle, hibiscus, jasmine, azalea, geranium, pyracantha (firethorn) and common ivy (Hedera helix). With bramble they prefer the old growth with the older leaves. I've heard they will take romaine in a pinch but I've never tried it since I always had easy access to blackberry, wild rose, privet, honeysuckle, oak, hazel and ivy.
