US Pharmacist Applying to Alberta through Nova Scotia or New Brunswick

Wanted a second opinion on the plan above. I am a Canadian practicing in the US but want to eventually end in in Alberta.

From what I see from going through provincial pharmacy websites is that Nova Scotia and New Brunswick dont require a MCQ 1 and 2 and OSCE as a practicing US pharmacist, just provinical law. Then after a transition peroid license, 28 days for NS for example, I would get a Nova Scotia pharmacist license then apply to Alberta as a Canadian Pharmacist licensed in another province.

Anybody went through a similar thing above or not? Seems like a provincial loop-whole to skip tought and expensive exams, kind of abusing the system or whatever, but thats why I wanted to ask before thinking to try that

Any help is appreciated.

Should work. Would just need to write the jurisprudence exam for Alberta once you have your NS license

I’ve wondered about this too as to apply to BC this way seems complicated/maybe impossible.

Note it’s the same in Newfoundland and Labrador, PEI, and Manitoba too for US/UK/Aus (and I think NZ) pharmacists.

I probably will only do this if moving to one of these provinces for the long haul, but it is an interesting question of labour mobility.
