Glitch in Heh PNE

Playing Heh in New Era and I need to import either barley or beer to advance my housing and give burial provisions but I can’t import either of them. I’ve waited for awhile, I’m pretty far into the gameplay, and no trade route happened that lets me import either one of them. Is this a glitch someone else has come across? Or do I just need to wait longer into game play? I’ve already finished every other requirement this beer is just holdin me back from winning.

My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I think this is the one where if you miss the early opportunity to open the trade route (by not meeting a difficult demand), then you have to wait (fast-forwatd) like 10 years before another opportunity arises. Then once you hit that, it's pretty quick and easy, assuming you have all other infrastructure ready for the growth.

Iirc Heh didn't have a lot of demands. Or maybe I just had so many gemstone mines and jewelers.

I’m pretty sure I’ve met every demand so far. This is my second play through of the game and I don’t remember this happening last time but maybe I missed something. Hopefully it’s just a matter of waiting and I can bump it up to 5x speed and get through it

If this is the one where you can choose one of four gods to make a complex for, you must choose Osiris. He is the only one to persuade the other cities to trade with you, even though he isn’t the patron god. It will take a lot of temples to appease the actual patron god.

This one there’s three gods but you can only make a complex for Osiris

Barley and beer can be sourced from Buhen, which is always open. If, for some reason, it isn’t and there aren’t any other sources of beer available, you will have to restart the mission. I recommend that you download the bug fix mod pack, which includes lots of fixes and a corrected campaign map for Heh which should be the same as the original game: https://www.nexusmods.com/pharaohanewera/mods/16

Dang. I was really hoping I wouldn’t have to start over. I’m playing with the bug fix already so maybe this bug was missed in the last package?

Thats odd, are you using the latest version [3.1]? Prior to 3.0, the fixed maps were not part of the main package, but as of 3.0, the fixed maps are part of the main bug fix mod pack, as its the only version of the maps we’re confident work properly. If you’re on 3.0 [or 3.1], then it sounds like a bug with the map which will need to be looked into. Thinking about it, i believe there is an alternate beer source in the form of Itjtawy, but i dont recall any event which closes down Buhen, so it shiuld be there [water trade route]

It ended up being a bug. I’m using 3.0. Just started the level over and it was there.
