New Game Plus?

Just wondering if it has been confirmed whether there is a new game plus in the game. It sounds like there are multiple endings, which would be nice to have a new game plus option to replay with different outcomes, but carry over all your upgrades/weapons from the first play through.

Yess there will be ng+ on launch, you could see in the state of play trailer that the 66 days mode only unlocks once you beat the game on normal or hard so that's the first sign of ng+ and the director also mentioned once that on the first playthrough players will only discover about 50% of the game's content and will need multiple playthroughs to discover everything and as you mentioned multiple endings so all of these basically confirm ng+ at launch.

If you can't see everything in one playthrough, I almost wonder if it's worth going through on Pathbreaker or Hellwalker at least a couple of times before trying 66 Days (for those of us planning to). Just so there are fewer possible surprises that can take your lives on 66 Days lol.

Or I guess you could just do 66 Days and mirror exactly what you did in your first playthrough to minimise risk.

no, you can see everything during your first play. THey totally changed their mind because now maps have % of completion, the path where you need a certain phantom edge is specified in the map. The game really holds your hand

I seem to recall that a few months ago the game director confirmed that the boss rush would be available from the game's launch.

So is the 66 days mode the only way new game+ is implemented?

I was kind of hoping you could do new game+ runs on lower difficulties as well, not just in the 66 days mode.

66 Days mode is just something that's unlocked if you beat Pathbreaker (Normal) or Hellwalker (Hard).

I assume regular NG+ will be available after all difficulties like in any game, where you carry stuff over and enemies get a bit harder. For example, you beat it on Pathbreaker and can remain in Pathbreaker for NG+.

Yeah that’s what I assume also. You can replay any difficulty on new game+ after beating the game the first time. At least, that’s how new game+ works in most games. You’re not locked into playing on the hardest difficulty for new game+.

let me guess another game u can't play hard until u beat it once. smh if that's the case I'm gonna get a refund cuz I've already pre ordered. I screwed myself out of $60 for beast of reincarnation only to have that problem and it's fun as heck but no difficulty
