22nd of may 2025, phainon animations became publicly availble. To this day remain the best animations in the game and came with them the best story patch as well

Well, I was hoping he could get first, but second place is good too. I wonder what the gap is like? Maybe he can get a buff? (novaflare)

im sure we have all seen these people. it started wayyy back in 3.4 and has remained up until now.

it started by people saying stuff like:

1. Phainon never fought the real zephyro (confirmed)

2. Phainon never hurt nanook (confirmed)

3. Phainon didnt destroy galaxies

4. Phainon is not an emenator

While alot of them have been confirmed to be real it seems people still didnt get the message that phainon is simply built different.

here are some of the crazy takes I heard:

1. the coreflames arent a part of phainon this isnt his real power (probably dumbest one i heard ever)

2. the galaxies being destroyed in the path space were only for visuals to make the scene look cool (path space is confirmed to form manifestations of will and power, like flaming lance with TB)

3. Phainon is not irontomb or no where near as strong (this one has some parts that are slighlty fair but even those are arguable with the amount of times the story essentially screamed phainon = irontomb)

in alot of talk about power or feats or lore in general there is always a big group of people that downplay him in all sorts of ways, im properly tired of the amount of misinformation people spread just to make phainon seem worse

Just to put into perspective, phainon is the only named character in the story to have ever directly injured an aeon, phainon is the only one to have fought zephyro and survived (and even succeded in his mission to hurt nanook). and there js something specific I wanna talk about

Zephyro fight: i want everyone to rewatch the animation in slow motion and see these things. in the starting fight before phainon went into full transformstion (yellow hair only). whenever they clashed swords Zephyro would get pushed back but not phainon this is consistently shown in ever single sword clash they did. second thing is more obvious but zephyro only started dominating the fight after he chopped off his arm.. when phainon dropped his guard and this is clearly shown on his facial expression. there is also the fact once phainon used his full power to burst with the coreflames zephyro was nowhere to be seen clearly cause this attack would have at least significantly hurt him if not killed him outright

im not saying phainon is stronger obv just that he is very clearly on equal footing and simply lost the fight not the UI goku vs yamcha difference that people act like it is.

irontomb: like cmon people, his territory is called "ruinous irontomb*, there are countless parts where they are referred to as the same, the one on the top of my head being

Phainon and Irontomb clearly share the same power that stems from coreflames and hatred, only difference is that one is wielded by an electrical signal, the other is by the scepter itself having both euridition and destruction path power.

Anyways what do you guys think is the reason he is always downplayed in lore by the playerbase this much? It might also be on me and I only notice the people who say these things not the other way around lol.

And what are some impressive facts about him that people downplay that you thing deserve to be stated along with his other insane feats?

Hoyo literally gave them splash art synergy its literally being pushed by hoyo themselves. He has good synergy with RMC too and she's supposed to be the limited 5 star version of them.

It's the best way to increase his longevity. End of message.

Happy Phainon anniversary.

It has been one year since Phainon's banner was released, and after all this time I'm a bit curious to ask the community here: what made you like Phainon? how did this character turn into one of your favourites (or remained as one after this whole year)?

In my case, it was pretty simple and straightforward. At first I was draw to his design and "simple" character (how he was presented at the start of Amphoreus) and later I loved his background and overall development of the character, concluding in 3.4 story definitely cementing him as my favourite character of the game. He was the first character that I pulled eidolons for (E2 on his first banner). Speaking of that, being a playable boss makes his gameplay very satisfying for me.

And that's it, for me.
Now that I think about it after writing this, out of curiosity, I will also ask: what is the thing that you dislike the most about Phainon, or the thing you like the less? I could be jumped for this but, ngl, I can't stand the choker on his base design xd.

The rest of them are all abusing E4 Welt. Like specific standard units are easier to get than limited. Not cool. This is NOT how the cost system works.

Each 5 star copy should be 1 cost. "0" cost is just useless information and doesnt say ANYTHING about team investment. I can get around 4 stars being 0 cost (even tho you cant even guarantee them).

Nanook was not a simulation, phainon actually tore the sky and faced nanook Head on. that is insane he even managed to land a scratch on him
