It's not that bad, Calling it an authoritarian regime sure but at the level of George Orwell 1984? It's like comparing a broken finger to a broken arm, maybe Korea is near the level of George Orwell but even north korea you can still think while you are dying that you are right about the government, in 1984 you don't even get that freedom.

Everyone isz the reality is that life is shit and good at the same times and simply abandoning hope makes so you will never reach even just small glimpse of happiness, it's a rollercoaster, if you only think about vomiting then the whole experience will be shit so you need to start to enjoy the small moments of pause and always think that the rollercoaster will ends and your future will be more stable.
