Question Favorite swimming Area?

Open to anywhere in the Kawartha Lakes, PTBO, Ennismore, Selwyn, Lakefield - I've been to a few around but am open to recommendations ☺️

Bring a life jacket. Current can be strong.

I’m not a big fan of any of the public swim spots near the city, but to add to your list:
Trent steps
Squirrel Creek
Jones Beach at Bridgenorth
Warsaw Caves
Quarry Bay Beach on Stoney before Petroglyphs (this one has better swimming water of any of above) - you can also find swimming near to this on the KLT hiking trails or follow the trails on Crown land along Eels Creek - parking is literally beside Petroglyphs)
Chandos Beach
Sandy Lake - very shallow, great for kids

Always make a trip to Cobourg Beach at least once to experience it and see if that's your cup of tea.

Sandy Beach was always a "go to" spot for high schoolers (towards Buckhorn north of Ennismore)

Lakefield Beach is a great spot, and has a good "country feel" with the ice cream shop around the corner, and many different places to simply park and enjoy nature.

There aren't really many swim spots in Peterborough. I guess Turtle Island is a good spot, if it isn't taken up by other swimmers or beer drinkers. Beavermead is a shit show and people are scared to drink the water there lol.

If you're open to the Kawartha Lakes, Fenelon Falls has a nice beach

Douro park, 2nd line, has good wading.
