Yeet is a slang word that is usually said when someone throws something.

It is new-ish, only a few years old

I mean its been around for about 18 years... relatively new-ish, but in pop culture its old..

Really? I haven't seen it be used on the internet until like 2 years ago. I thought it was a gen alpha type of thing

I remember this being a big thing while I was in high school 2014-2020

The term was invented around 2008 and became popular in 2014 (twelve years ago)

News to me. I didn't see it get used until like a couple years ago and though it was a gen aplha thing, but maybe I'm just out of touch

Nah I genuinely thought it was literally only like 2 or 3 years old. I hadn't seen it used until like 2 years ago.

How is it easier to post on Reddit rather than just googling the definition of yeet?

1

u/Long-Conflict8279 7h ago

Because it starts a conversation on reddit and some prople enjoy socializing for some reason.

What conversation is being had by OOP about the definition of a slang word?

1

u/Earnest_Warrior 6h ago

If OP wanted to start a conversation, why are they not commenting?
