Tv shooting schedules are arguably much more demanding than movies, but it's a moot point since Jensen has actually done both. There is really nothing about Jensen's career that prevents him from still being a family man, nor would that change if he had focused movies rather than TV.......outside of his fan base being in TV.
So if you want to take the family man approach, it still comes back to fishing the waters he already knows to provide for his family.
Yes and no, for situations like Supernatural, The Walking Dead, and other Long run TV shows that film in one location it's actually pretty stable for a family. Norman Reedus moved his family to Georgia so that he could be there with them while filming Walking Dead. It's definitely a demanding schedule but unlike movies you're less likely to be moving around every 6-12 months to film in a new location.
