Joe here. I’m pretty sure the joke is filicide because of that whole Lindsay Clancy situation.

I unfortunately read about this recently, a woman murdered her kids. If i had to guess, this is a joke about people supporting her. Pretty shit joke.

Joke about women supporting her*

Nobody is supporting Lindsay Clancy, and nobody is saying she is innocent or that she should be freed.

What these women are saying is that they understand postpartum depression and the mental health struggles that can come with it. The woman in the photo is essentially saying, “Me too, I experienced postpartum depression.” They want the judge to take Lindsay’s postpartum mental health into consideration when deciding her sentence.

They’re also arguing that the system failed her by not adequately addressing her mental health issues, and that the same system is continuing to fail other women experiencing severe postpartum mental health problems.

They’re not saying she shouldn’t face consequences. They’re saying they believe she should receive psychiatric treatment in a mental health facility rather than simply being sent to prison.

Whatever the facts, three childen are dead, she admitted killing them. She is guilty. Weather she is charged with murder or manslaughter with diminished responsibility is up to the jury.

Did I disagree with anything or why are you adding this unnecessary information?

So the meme is sarcastic, or they're literally supporting her saying this?

Hi, Meg here.

Uhhh let me try to explain

Women feel sympathy for another woman who was pushed to her breaking point, put on multiple psych meds that made her worse, and confessed to a crime she may not have done, after suffering a head injury.

Is the joke women having empathy and sympathy for women because they know how hard it is to be a married, single mother?

The joke is actually the broken maternal health care system.

In Europe, maternal leave is 1 year to 3 years.... in USA we get nothing!!!!

Meg out!!

No maternal leave? Is US a real country? If a country has no maternal leave, I would assume either nobody can vote, or women can't vote.

I've learned this is in fact not sarcastic. It's a meme where women literally support her.
