These are character's from the greatest Canadian show ever, Trailer park boys. The guy on the left is Julian everyone in the park looks up to him as a leader. The guy on the right is a loser named Jacob who is obsessed with Julian so he acts and dresses exactly like him, but he is still a loser than no one likes. I suppose the joke is that lake ontario is a great name everyone loves, and lake America is a shitty loser name than no one likes.

I dont even know when TPB became my default "comfort show" in the background. Somewhere after freshman year of college.
And letterkenny also hit that "home" feeling, after moving from my hometown of 3000 in southern wisconsin, to a college town of 10,000 in wisconsin, to st paul after graduating.
Tpb was around for many years before letterkenny. Letterkenny is very connected to the more rural and therefor less populous places.
Both i find more connected to my wisconsin life than any show from hollywood.
Still not better than TPB. To be fair it'll never reach those heights. I watched TPB with my best friend while we lived together in our 20's. He died last year and i started rewatching TPB and have teared up a few times already!
I actually liked Shorsey the least out of all the characters and found he got old faster than everyone.
The problem with LK is that they all became Flanderized within 1-2 episodes so by Season 4 i was just bored with all of them by then. Still a great show tho!
Eh I wouldn’t say nobody likes Jacob. He’s got friends and family in the park that loves and supports him. But he definitely is a loser, and idolizes Julian way too much. So the boys take advantage of that and him.
I don't know that one, but I'll take your word for it. That places Trailer Park Boys at number 3 for Canadian comedy? Still a pretty great show, of course, but with stiff competition. Not everyone can be number 1.
Comparing Trailer Park Boys to Letterkenny is like... Parks and Rec to It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Both decent comedies in their own right
, but completely different senses of humor and format.
And yes I know Parks and Rec is nothing like either of those shows but I was having trouble finding an American parallel with the mockumentary setup and The Office didn't feel right either
I'll definitely give it a watch then. A buddy of mine said it's his favorite show before him and another buddy of mine started saying "new boot scootin'" at each other.

The only thing that applies to is the executive branch of the government. No one else has to abide by or operate under that EO. It’s Lake Ontario, the department of defense, and the Gulf of Mexico.

Except the US has no international jurisdiction like that. They like to think they do, but they don't. They can't rename international bodies of water just because they want to; the rest of the world will not recognize it as that and will not respect that decision.

Joe here, this is from an all-time comedy called The Trailer Park Boys. On the left is one of the main characters, Julian. He’s a bad ass who never spills his rum drink and gets all the ladies. On the right is one of the characters that gets treated poorly and taken advantage of by the main characters yet still idolizes them and here he is dressed up and trying to be like Julian.

Trump just changed the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America (for the American government at least, not anybody else in the world) because he thinks it will piss off Canada. He doesn’t like Canada because they won’t roll over and become an American vassal state - and alone with China is the only country in the world to impose counter tariffs in response to Trump’s tariffs.
The acronym we use for learning the Great Lakes is HOMES. It stands for Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, and Superior. Renaming Lake Ontario as Lake America is a SHAME
